  • Today, with less than 24 hours until the polls open, we're simply asking what would be your number one priority if you were handed the keys to number 10?
The NHS, immigration and the cost of living poll highly with voters. But is there something else you desperately want to address, get rid of or bring in?

Notice how she asked EVERYONE where they'd get the money from, but not the guy saying to double defence spending. Obviously has an agenda.

I feel like we should be paying for the education for people in this country in the places where they have to import people and in exchange for their education they should have to work for 7 years in that field in this country. We need nurses and doctors but to get the qualifications is very expensive which puts people off.

The government is under the impression that the population of this country can somehow increase how much we work and how much money we make for the country without considering that the health of the population (both physical and mental) affects just how successfully we are able to do that! Make it make sense!

The main things that need to happen:
A rise in disability benefits and carer's allowance, and probably UC too. Along with a scrapping of the two child benefit cap. This would immediately deal with abject poverty.
A rise in the minimum wage to do the same.
Talks with unions to get fair pay in the various sectors.
I say this because poverty is the lead cause of most of the problems in society.
Huge funding increase to local councils, bringing back to pre-2010 levels. So that local public services such as libraries and youth centres can be funded.
Social care funding with a huge increase in the NHS budget. Train more nurses and doctors, with uni grants funding the training again. This would deal with health and elderly people.
Increase in the education budget, and bringing back maintenance grants.
These things would be paid for by properly taxing the rich and closing down tax loopholes. Less money spent on consultsnts in govt too.
These things would sort society out big time.
Next, a huge housebuilding program. More rights for renters. Ending freeholds. Ending no-fault evictions.
Look into food prices being artificially kept high by supermarkets. Give farmers proper money for their goods.
Look at how we can reintergrate ourselves into the EU to reclaim the 100bn a year we have lost.
Raise wages enough to entice more native Brits into work so we could reduce legal immigration. Reducing legal immigration is important so that we could rightfully and successfully take in more refugees and asylum seekers without there being problems with integration and resources.
Most of these policies are what the nation wants and needs, and would make everyone happier. Incidentally, Corbyn's manifesto had a lot of these policies and would have been transformational.
Unfortunately the right-wing powers in this country hated the idea of this vast redistribution, so they pretended he was anti-semitic and a crazy 'communist' to scare people off the policies.
As for landlords, they can go to hell. I would raise capital gains tax, and tax on second and third/fourth etc properties. They should not be able to make money out of hamstringing renters.
I would bring back Surestart, for obvious reasons.
Finally, i would legalise drugs so we can bring people who have drug issues into a medical, rather than criminal, orbit.

Scrap the 2 child benefit cap so people can have as many kids as they want and the taxpayer should pay for them? Take in more refugees aswell? Thank god your not in government

@@davidflood8881 and if you weren't ignorant you'd know our fertility rates are falling and we have an ageing population, which is going to cause a huge tax crisis as there won't be enough younger people to work to help pay a state pension. Too many old people to young people is not a good demographic. Google it and do a bit of research to get out of your ignorance. It's literally WHY we have the amount of immigration we do. More kids here would mean less immigration eventually. I also literally said I would seek to lower legal immigration, but you appear to have skipped that part.
I don't know why I bother debating ignorant people but anyway.

@@davidflood8881 yes the taxpayers would benefit from a higher birth rate. That's pretty obvious.

Unions are a con. They take people’s money promising to fight for better wages and rights and use it to fund campaigns for the mass importation of cheap foreign Labour.

In my eyes, there is only one thing that can truly fix this country is manufacturing and exporting
When you achieve that everything else will fall in place
