Don’t need to worry if the cookie dough is “cooked” all pilsbury dough now is safe to eat raw! The packages say “eat or bake” they changed the recipe at some point bc people would just eat the raw dough anyways, so they made it actually okay to do so
I always enjoy these kinds of videos from you!! Do the croissants look like roadkill with Play-Doh glued on…yep! Do the recipes always make sense…nope! But that’s the magical part! lol Best wishes ❤
Your editing makes me laugh so hard !! You and your relatives have a great energy, I love all your content. Thank you for creating these videos, you don’t know how much it can change a bad day…
Not gonna lie, I have to watch the fruit taste test again because I was too busy trying to decipher Chris' tee shirt. They are like easter eggs each video.
I think gooshy middles are okay; most cookie doughs are made safe to eat raw nowadays because manufacturers realized that we were doing it anyway). BUT: check the label to be safe.
I was going to say the same thing, I did the croissant cookie with the Pillsbury cookie doughs and it's safe to eat raw so I underbake them a little so it's soft in the middle of the croissant :)
Rachel, I think I can speak on behalf of everyone when I say please don’t stress us out cutting mini choc eggs with a knife again 😂 I for sure thought that was going to end in disaster and I’m so glad you still have all your fingers 😂
Tonghulu was my favorite street sweet when I lived in Korea ❤️ my husband tried to make them for our anniversary and entirely failed 😂 he's very impressed with you now
Love love love your videos.❤ just a quick tip for the mini eggs just pop some in a bag and microwave for about 10 seconds they are easier to smash that way. Happy Easter 🐣 from a fellow Canadian 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Thank you so much for calling it a butter knife!!! My husband is always insistent that it's a table knife and butter knives are the small ones that you often see on buffets for pates!
I would call his "spreaders" not knives. I guess some of them have cutting edges, and are therefore "spreader knives"... butter *is* a spread, I guess 😆But yes, like @raeperonneau4941 said, you're both right even though I always call it a butter knife like you 😂
When Chris mentioned the peanut butter which you can't have I wanted to share an alternative that I've been using for a year now. SunButter (sunflower seed butter), I am not allergic to nuts but they are a migraine trigger for me. So I started using sunflower seed butter as a substitute and its close enough texture and taste we have even used it in Monster Cookies successfully in place of peanut or almond butter. I bet that would be really good mixed with the brownie batter croissant one especially for a almost reese peanut butter cup effect.
I feel like you can boarder line mess yourself up with this candy fruit situation either by burning yourself on the rock candy syrup or by coating it too much and chipping a tooth 😅that was one hell of an execution
From one nut allergy sufferer to another, beware of all of the Costco made food items, all of their labeling here in Canada says "may contain nuts" as everything is produced in the same facility. ♥
I love how you get excited about the foods you make and how you do what we all do. We make a mess jump in and go with the flow. When You dropped a mini egg and called out mine lmao yup that’s how it goes at my house
If the cookies and cream is your favorite bar, you must try the Oreo pudding cookies!! Omg, you will LOVE them. Chocolate chip cookies with dry Oreo pudding mix and the Hershey’s cookies and cream bars….to die for.
Have you ever tried sour patch grapes? Just roll grapes into jello powder I used to get jolly rancher jello but i cant find it anymore so i just use whatever flavor im in the mood for. Easy and delcious! Great video, cant wait to try them!
My mom used to make a version of the cookie crescents with the roll out created rolls and the cookie dough, roll up like cinnamon rolls and slice. Top with cream cheese frosting
Fyi for lovers of brownies who need something more like a cookie, for things like a cookie croissant (or just on their own)... Brownie Cookies: 1 box dry brownie mix 1/2 cup flour (bread flour makes it chewier, if you prefer them that way) 1/3 cup oil 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp salt Get your favorite boxed brownie mix, and instead of the normal instructions/ingredients, add all of this stuff and mix until it's well combined. No need to add things in any particular order, just throw it all in there. Feel free to add a bit more oil or flour if the texture seems off to you, it should be quite thick and tough like cookie dough. I'd recommend a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, or you'll get one heck of an arm workout! Scoop onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment or a silicone mat. I usually get about 24 cookies out of this, but you do you, and experiment to find what you like! They spread a little, but not too much, they stay thick in the middle. Add any toppings you'd like. We do espresso chips and a little sprinkle of powdered sugar (mostly because it looks cool after they come out, all cracked). Bake at 375°F (190°C, I think?) for around 10-12 minutes. Note: this isn't convection baking, no clue how things would convert for that, and I always forget to try! They should seem a little undercooked and gooey coming out of the oven, but if you let them sit on the pan for a few minutes before you transfer them to a cooling rack (or your mouth), they finish cooking. They transform into something more like brownies, a little dry on the outside and moist (yeah, I said it, it's accurate!) in the middle! Eat and enjoy, for however long they last! Did I spend way too many evenings and calories adjusting this recipe from a much simpler one I found online? Yes. Was it worth it? Ask me when I'm done with my monthly chocolate coma nap!
I was laughing at Rachel licking and wiping the side of her mouth while eating the cookie croissants, while there was a crumb on the other side of her mouth the whole time 😂
Can you get a really reallly good French Croissant in Canada? It should have around 12 layers of flaky goodness and if it does, it doesnt need cookies or anything extra!
When you need to stuff pastries or any other food source make sure your hole isn't only in the middle but make your way on the inside sides as well and weigh them against each other to see if they're getting heavier.
They did have cookies and cream mini eggs a couple years ago and they were my favourite but they don’t have them now 😭 they have small eggs but they’re the kind wrapped in foil which is not the same
If you like the sugar coated fruit, you should come to a German Christmas market, we have those fruit sticks everywhere ^^ Also apples. (The sugar usually has red food dye)
Rachel just wanted to say that the cookie dough brand you used is safe to eat raw its the only one i buy for that reason lol so youll be fine if it was underbaked
First time comment but long time watcher 😅 I'm also in Canada (ontario) and they do make cookies and cream mini eggies! They can be hard to find but they are out there 😁
The thing is sugar needs to reach that spefic temperature in order to become solid like a lollipop. There really is no way in between. Hence why they sell candy thermometers. What I used to do was actually drop a tiny bit into ice water and see if it hardened. I don't think you can get a mushy yet solid coating if it's not warm enough. By solid I mean dry and not sticky. I'm not a professional though. I just tired to make candy at home once.
If you don't already, you should start toasting your Hawaiian rolls. If you keep two connected so they're easier to get out and then slice them so they'll fit in your toaster, you end up with a crispy outside and a fluffy inside, and then you can put whatever you normally put on your toast on top, like lemon curd or jam. It's amazing.
I'm not sure why but when you dipped the buns in the sugar they looked like apples and my brain for some reason forgot what was happening so I was surprised when you said buns not apple😅😂
Rachel where did you get your sweater??….it looks SO cozy/comfy!! i live in the states if that helps any!….ok I just got out the part when you said it was in another video *I thought it was but I wasn’t sure* but now I’m gonna watch that vid after I finish this!!
I feel mini croissants would be amazing and the right size.
Ohhh good call

Not gonna lie, I have to watch the fruit taste test again because I was too busy trying to decipher Chris' tee shirt. They are like easter eggs each video.
Glad it's not just me 😅 sometimes I rewind twice because I fixate on the shirts
Chris needs his own line or t-shirt merch!
It may be easier to put your ice bath etc on counter next to stove. Also, spoon the sugar mix over fruit (over the pan) that didn't get it.
Take a shot every time Rachel says "aggressive" 😂😂😂
You're paying my hospital bill when I end up with alcohol poisoning 🤣
@@chrisoneill325😂😂😂
I made the mistake of reading this comment at the beginning of the video, we're already up to 4 😂
You’ll be wasted in no time!!😂
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed it 🤣
16:20 Rachel, I beg you, get pastry bags for fillings/frosting, etc. they are more useful and easier to handle than ziplock 😅
Ibwas literally thinking the same thing. They are the same price as ziploc bags and up your pastry game by at least 50%
She probably has those but since they're remodeling couldn't find it or something
My thoughts every single time
Then you get me, the husband, using a zip lock bag to fill in the gap between the floor tiles and the wall, with concrete 👀
FACTS!
I think gooshy middles are okay; most cookie doughs are made safe to eat raw nowadays because manufacturers realized that we were doing it anyway). BUT: check the label to be safe.

Hersheys cookies and creme mini eggs are a thing and they are DELICIOUS !
I have to assume anyone who goes on about the Costco croissants has never had a Sam’s Club croissant. Far superior.
I immediately recognized the sweater and it’s adorable and looks great on your.
Cutest spring sweater ever!
I’m too lazy to do the croissant thing, but I’d like to slice them open, slather with Nutella, and air fry for 2 minutes or so.
Hersheys did make cookies and cream eggs!!!! Sold at Walmart in Ottawa
Yayyy new video!! 😊 I love you cardigan its so pretty and cute
omg no one seems to like cookies and creme so i always love when i find someone else who loves it! My boyfriend and I love it so much!
OH MY GOSH I LOVE WHAT YOU'RE WEARING THE FLOWERS ON IT ARE SOOOOO HECKIN ADORABLEEE😭😭😭🩷
I knew we'd get a recipe testing video again😄 Its been sooo long, yay!
Officially, your husband is correct but colloquially, everybody calls it a butter knife. So you’re both right. 😊
I would call his "spreaders" not knives. I guess some of them have cutting edges, and are therefore "spreader knives"... butter *is* a spread, I guess 😆But yes, like @raeperonneau4941 said, you're both right even though I always call it a butter knife like you 😂
As a French gal watching you murder those croissants, we’ve started revolutions for way less 😂 ❤
I CACKLED at the “aha! Mine!” In your gremlin voice (when cutting up the Eggies)
It's so fun watching people discover the Chinese classic snack of Tang Hu Lu 😁
The cheesecake one would be awesome in a croissant, and I’d do a lemon raspberry cheesecake mix

I saw a recipe using the Hawaiian roll to make French toast. Do a show on using just Hawaiian rolls
Omg she said crack a lack i love that 90s nastalgia
Add grated lemon zest to the cream as well for an extra lemony kick!
I feel like you can boarder line mess yourself up with this candy fruit situation either by burning yourself on the rock candy syrup or by coating it too much and chipping a tooth 😅that was one hell of an execution

The flower sweater looks so cute 🥺🥺

Those cookie croissants look amazing!!!
I want to see a gluten free video for Chris's celiac family members to try, and celiac me to enjoy! 😂
In Sweden we have normal size eggs with Oreo filling inside the chocolate 🙌🏼 it’s from marabou.
I love the dark chocolate eggies
17:18 i think they have the hersheys drops in the cookies and cream flavor! Here in Michigan at least
If the cookies and cream is your favorite bar, you must try the Oreo pudding cookies!! Omg, you will LOVE them. Chocolate chip cookies with dry Oreo pudding mix and the Hershey’s cookies and cream bars….to die for.
Today's word of the day is 'AGGRESSIVE'.
Count how many times Rachel uses the word of the day in this video.
It would be eclipsed by the word "like"
I make my own lemon curd. It’s pretty easy.
Hershey literally makes cookies and cream eggies and yes they are here in Canada :)
Have you ever tried sour patch grapes? Just roll grapes into jello powder I used to get jolly rancher jello but i cant find it anymore so i just use whatever flavor im in the mood for. Easy and delcious! Great video, cant wait to try them!
I am American but live in Europe, and sometimes I forget how different the cuisine is back home --the crossaint cookies reminded me, ha.
My mom used to make a version of the cookie crescents with the roll out created rolls and the cookie dough, roll up like cinnamon rolls and slice. Top with cream cheese frosting
I didn't know I needed a cookie dough stuffed crossant until now. I'm not going to stop thinking about it until I make it 🤤
Fyi for lovers of brownies who need something more like a cookie, for things like a cookie croissant (or just on their own)...
Brownie Cookies:
1 box dry brownie mix

Was it worth it? Ask me when I'm done with my monthly chocolate coma nap!
Watching this video is both the best and worst thing to ever happen to me. I am not fully addicted to the cookie croissant. lol
Did I miss the recipes for these? Are they printed anywhere? Everything looked so yummy!! You did a great job Rachel!
Could you make a video on the best nut free snacks or protein products?
Me on the way to y oven to put Reese’s peanut butter cups inside my croissant, thanks Chris! ❤😂
Yum, just yum!!!
So just an FYI 😊cookie and cream eggs already exist! 🤗😊
They make cookies and cream mini eggs !! I had them last year for Easter . Lol
Love the sweater
Rachel, I love you..which means I need you to never wave a sharp knife around like you did around 13:55 ever again ❤
Feeling very springy… while it snows outside 😂
'did I upload that video yet?' well now I'm curious!
Love this cardigan 😍
Yes, I love that sweater
The last third of this video got so chaotic and I'm here for it 😂
Hershey does make cookies n cream eggs! (At least in the states)
There is cookies n cream anything/everting… 😂
True lemon powder can give the flavor you are looking for without adding too much liquid.
I was laughing at Rachel licking and wiping the side of her mouth while eating the cookie croissants, while there was a crumb on the other side of her mouth the whole time 😂
I would love to try the buns but not sure what kind of substitute I should get in UK :(
I wonder how well they would work with mini croissants!
I sooooooo gotta try the croissant ones soon, I have so many ideas flooding my brain 😍😝

I remember the sweater and it looks so pretty on you! 🤩
I'm so glad you made the cheesecake rolls I've been wanting to make them and you have convinced me to make them
❤❤❤Maybe use a tall narrow jar to do the sugar dipping for the fruit?
1:17 a minute in and I'm loving the editing! 🎉🎉
If you like the sugar coated fruit, you should come to a German Christmas market, we have those fruit sticks everywhere ^^ Also apples. (The sugar usually has red food dye)
It was such a good video ❤❤
Rachel just wanted to say that the cookie dough brand you used is safe to eat raw its the only one i buy for that reason lol so youll be fine if it was underbaked

If you hold the roll in your hand while adding the filling, you can feel how much you've put in!
Oooo I'll try that next time! I'm actually making more this afternoon with Luke 💗
Excuse me while I go and make ALL OF THESE
Blueberry tanghulu would be so good. Sour and sweet ratio 👌
They do make hersheys cookies and cream mini eggs!!
With the croissants, I bet marshmallows would be a good addition.
4:02 "[It] has lemon zest, eh?"
Sometimes, I forget you're Canadian.😂
I do feel for you Rachel that you can't have Cadbury mini eggs, but Hershey's Eggies will never even come close to being as good.
rach, i NEED that sweater 😍
If you don't already, you should start toasting your Hawaiian rolls. I need coffee creamer and now apparently Hawaiian roles cheesecake and lemon
Where does Chris get his tshirts?
I saw a video where they failed with the sugar coating on the fruit. Good job!!
Hersheys does make cookies and cream eggs and they're nut free. Might be us only though
They do have cookies and cream mini eggs by the way 🤭
Here to tell you that Walmart in Ontario has Hersheys cookies & cream eggies!!!
