Got this out of the dumpster of the thrift store I work at, it still worked too which shows how much better things used to be made, it’s a heavy son of a bitch too. I demonstrate at the end of the video how to fix an issue I’ve seen a couple times around TH-cam so if you have this fan and the same issue, now you’ll know. The reason that the fan started slowly at the end because of the fact that I didn’t connect the coil very well so there was some resistance in that connection which created less starting torque but it still proves my point.

The fans may have been wired in series instead of parallel.

They are indeed wired in series, it’s certainly a unique design
