    Great vid and aftermarket bov/recirculating valve is something I think is worth it to replace the stock one. I think you will want a retune from TP if you are still using him. After I installed my PRL and ran it on the tune which was for my Turbo XS tmic w MAP catted dp there was a difference, the tune was worth it. In addition I went with AEM dry flo filter and installed a Torque Solutions turbo inlet hose. All the little things do add up. Loved the vid and I like the placement of the BOV on the GS chargepipe vs the placement on my PRL

    Check you Air fuel learning. Adding a charge pipe is going to make it a bit leaner. Just make sure its not above +8

    2016 WRX with turboback, intake, EBCS over here. I just installed the Grimmspeed intercooler and charge pipe and DAM went down just like yours :( I have a pro tune scheduled for next week to get it all resolved.

      I just reinstalled my stock intercooler and charge pipe and everything is back to normal. I'll put the Grimmspeed goodies back on the night before the tune and baby the throttle on my way to the tune.

    If you have a fully vent to atmosphere BOV then you might want to consider a tune because you'll have rich/lean conditions. I bought the Hybrid and if I am really getting on throttle the lowest my AFR drops to is 10.5 not too far off from what the stock was from my monitoring.

    Hey man! new subscriber here! really appreciate your install videos. I was having a major issue with my STOCK CP popping off of my GS TMIC (heard/read its a common thing) Thankfully I have a GS CP that I will be installing. What size clamps did you use for the top and bottom of the connector pipe (i.e the piping that is connected to the turbo + BPV not the chargepipe itself) thanks and appreciated!

      bro, you just gotta buy your breeze liner clamp sets. 44,48,54 are most common. size 20 is common. the rest are nice to have. expensive, $20-30 for 10 clamps. the best. the last 2 digits of the 4 digit part number is the size. example only amzn.to/3UK9cbR

    Did you end up having to adjust the BPV at all?? I know Perrin says that it should be fine for most as is. Also idk if having more mods means a greater chance of having to adjust it.

      doesnt need adjustment for stock turbo. i've never had an issue and i have almost every mod except turbo swap

    What's the noise like from this BOV? I know its not as loud as an atmospheric but can you still hear it?

      well.. not really.. i suppose only under max max full throttle redline quick shifts with radio off.. but normal driving, zero difference.

    How's the Perrin BOV holding up? Any issues with tuning with Phatbotti?

      Perrin BOV has been flawless since i installed it. Phatbotti is still the only tuner I would use on my car. (PhatRon)

      if i had to choose i prefer the Perrin. I wouldnt say the Grimmy leaks, its just a tighter fit

      sure. the charge pipe takes a careful install. and also highly depends on what brand and also what intercooler it is mating to.

      PS.. my Grimmspeed chargepipe did leak indeed.. when mated to a stock intercooler. but my Perrin charge pipe fit a lot better.

      @@LastHumansGarage I have a grimspeed charge pipe to grimspeed top mount intercooler and keeps coming off from the bottom of the charge pipe next to the bpv. I think that's the throttle body/turbo? Sorry if I sound me to this. Any recommendations to keep that in place? I waited the clamps but it's leaking again I think

      I don't hear of lower leaks too often. Does the lower GS charge pipe flange have a lip to keep the clamp from slipping off? I would work from bottom tightening as you move up to top. I usually do a couple "quarter turns" with a socket after its as tight as i can get with a screwdriver.

    What the advantage of having an aftermarket bov/recirculating valve?

      Calvin Vanderhoff tighter seal no leaks. Oem one is plastic. Builds boost quicker. Check out the boomba recirculating valve youtube videos theres one vid the submerge the oem one in water to show how much it leaks. Boomba improved on the recirculating valve buy putting a piston mechanism inside to open and close it more precisely. I think it was BREN tuning who said they tune only with the boomba recirc at one point in time. Now as lasthuman stated these are true recirculating valves and not a blow off valve. In most cases a bov will cause a loss in power on these cars only "advantage" is the cool whoosh noise from a bov which is all your boost pressure being let out into the atmosphere where as a recirc valve is internal. You can still get mild whoosh noises with a recirc valve especially with an intake. Im no expert just my understanding of the difference between the two.

      no, the boomba (at least the one i got) was already recirculating, not blow off.

    did you need a retune specifically for the BPV? because I am running a mishimoto charge pipe and an intake along with other parts and an etune for those parts. would adding this BPV require a retune or no?

      Late reply, but because you have an intake I would say yes, and make the needed adjustment for the BPV. Typically if your just doing a CP and BPV you wouldn't necessarily need a tune as its fairly minor compared to say what an intake or J-pipe would change :).

      Also late reply but no tune needed but recommended. I noticed that adjusting the spring setting made the car fuel trims higher when letting off throttle so going to set back to soft and see how the car does then

      not very much on a stage 1. those mods start shining on stage 2. you arent pushing the limits of your stock charge pipe yet, especially with a Cobb OTS.
