There's something about this that reminds me of the days of Napster and Metallica. Like I think speedrunners and lets-players are doing great things by exposing people to different games and showing off what stuff you can do.
There needs to be a drinking game for this romhack where you take a shot every time ZFG cheats and gets punished for it or instant karma'd by an enemy.

Watching someone as talented and skilled as zfg struggle and struggle with basic ass puzzles because he can't slow down and think critically about what he's doing seriously kills me.
Like the puzzle in the Hall of the Dead? I was having coniptions while watching him giving up quickly because he didnt want to explore or think a bit more
Being 'good' at speedrunning =/= being talented, skilled or good at video games in general. All his non speedrunning stuff his like this. He's good at (or used to be, does he even Speedrun anymore) one thing because of repetition and practice, the opposite of innate ability.
1) Is it just me, or is this version of Shadow Temple reminiscent of the Skull Woods dungeon in A Link to the past? And 2) Did ZFG ever make that connection as well? I've only been half listening to this as I do other things, so I wasn't sure if he, or anyone else in chat for that matter, mentioned such a similarity.
Bro the lenses of truth are in the hall of the dead, its like one of the first thing you did as a child, with all the mummies, you legit just missed one eye switch at the very beginning I saw lmao, its not in shadow temple
AkameGaKillfan777 If I remember correctly the hall of the dead can be reached when you leave the zora domain by the undwewater path & arrive into the forest, you go left directly, or either up then left im not sure anymore. Let me know if you reached the place
@@jeremymoreauuv207 I watched someone else's playthrough and found that reaching the end leads to the Shadow Temple. I'm guessing the Lens is in there somewhere. I stopped right when they entered. It's possible that you might do the whole Dungeon as Young Link, and the only item ever somewhat necessary to beat Bongo Bongo is the Lens of Truth.
AkameGaKillfan777 nono the shadow temple that you reach at the end (you're supposed be young link to beat hall of the dead early in the game once you have slingshot) it should be completed wayyy further in the game, after both fire & water temple & first part spirit temple, the real entrence to the shadow temple is in the cemetary as adult link
@@jeremymoreauuv207 I finished watching this and yeah, the rest of the dungeon is done as Adult Link. It would probably be less infuriating to get the Lens of Truth as an Adult since you can stun the Redeads and Gibdoes with the Hookshot.
Like. I don't agree with him saying no backseating on the chest at the bottom of the elevator in forest temple. As near as I can remember, they hadn't had anything yet that had a 'Hit a crystal covered by a colored flame, spawn a chest near a matching colored flame. ' that wasn't taught well, and the creator really seems to like making one way paths where you get a skulltula or something, then have to void out. Still an impressive piece of work considering.
So I was curious and checked it out. Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for the kid, he clearly admires ZFG and wants to impress him. But you can see where it all went off the rails right on the 3hr mark with the silver coins, where Click17 knows where the last coin is despite it never being shown, gets ZFG to collect it and then comments "I'm smart". He got a positive outcome, he feels acknowledged and like many a socially awkward teenager, then proceeds to drive it into the ground. It might've been plausible to think that he took a guess and got lucky, except he then spends the next 20mins repeatedly giving step by step instructions to ZFG, right up until he gets called out for it, slammed and then immediately tries to claim he was just guessing and doesn't know anything about the game. Again, I feel bad for him - it's a hell of a cautionary tale for anyone who's been tempted to fib to impress someone (which I'm pretty sure includes everyone) - but it is indeed 100% bullshit.
I'm sorry but Click17 did nothing wrong. I went back and looked at the chat. I didnt see him make that specific comment after the silver ruppee was found under the elevator. Also he did not comment step by step instructions every single minute for the next 20 minutes after the silver ruppee section. He/she posted comments every once and while with steps. But I counted so many others in that chat posting instructions or comments that had nothing to do with anything. For those who ripped on Click17 (including one comment calling him Hitler) its absolutely childish and ridiculous. Either ignore his/her messages and move on. Freedom of speech. Calling people Hitler is acceptable and tolerated but providing steps on what to do in a video game is not acceptable. What the hell is going on these days?!?!?

Highlights of this segment, is watching ZFG roll/run into every firewall without testing it and nearly dying.
