The description of heaven in Revelation 22 is one of worship restored. When humanity hid in the bushes in Genesis 3, after abandoning the worship of God, our hearts lost what they were created for, and in a moment we also lost one another. The picture of heaven on earth we had singing this song was overwhelming. Different people, churches, races, stories and backgrounds coming together to lift the name of Jesus together. The road toward healing what is broken between us is one of worship. In worship the poor are elevated and the mighty are brought low. Through worship we see that we are the same and the things we thought separated us were only illusions spoken by the enemy. In the end, when this world has faded to darkness, the light of Jesus will reveal that we are one in him, and we will worship together for eternity. Jesus come quickly.
Revelation 22:1-3
Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. (ESV)
