I'm older than you are (old enough to be your mother!), and I can't conceive of buying a new Bible every year. It's a trend we all need to get away from. Great video, Char!
I think you have made it very clear this is what God convicted YOU of and you are sharing to help others who may be in this situation. You are not responsible for how people take it. And we ALL need to pray for those who get defensive or angry.
Thank you for this video. I did exactly what you talked about and as I listened I was immediately struck by your truth and honesty. I appreciate this video and I get it!! God Bless you and your continued journey.
I had at one point 9 bibles 5 commentary books.. I currently have 4 bibles; Daily Study (NIV Life Application), Prayer NLT, Rainbow KJV, Sermon NIV text only no study notes, Chronological NLT. 2 commentary; Holman dictionary and illustrated background commentary. I went the digital route for some resources. I also made my book space smaller. I removed a shelf which made it easier for me not to want to fill it. Also stored my work bag where in that space which takes up a lot of space. I have built in 80’s desk in my dining room. The cabinets are like kitchen cabinets with no shelfs so I bought 2 stackable paper trays that will hold my bibles. So I took one tray out. Also took a lot of my stationary out as well. All this stuff won’t get you closer to GOD, it’s ur time with GOD. Very good video!! I was able to get the laundry folded while I listened. ❤
@TheMudPup1 I love this!!! So inspiring and encouraging. You made a really good point. I realized my decor , storages, and shelves kind of encouraged me to put more things on them. I strongly have a desire to eliminate the stand alone shelf. It would force me to downsize even more.
I totally agree. Having more Bibles doesn’t make you any more saved than someone with 1 (for true believers). And the most important thing is having a relationship with Christ. The Bible doesn’t save you…Jesus does.

I enjoy your message but wish that the videos were shorter and quicker. With a fast paced life, kids work and spending time with God, this content is useful but i just dont have the time to sit through such a long video. Thank you
Hi, @Jolenegovinden5025 I hope this finds you well. When I’m super busy, I like to pop in my earbuds and work while I listen. I don’t do this too often cause I like to sit and listen. However…just wanted to share.
@@jolenegovinden5025 I’m glad you like my videos. I normally concern myself with the length of the videos but in this case I didn’t. I do agree with the suggestions: 1) speed up the video or 2) treat these videos like you would a podcast and listen to them while you are doing chores or walking. I believe this subject matter is going to be a heavy conversation which leads to the lengthy videos. I hope this helps

@@Priscilla_Bettis in the words of my mom you are only as old as you feel 🥰. I personally couldn’t see myself doing so for sure. Thank you so much 😊

@@lkreinmiller-author I totally agree! Sometimes I feel that maybe because the videos are long people aren’t hearing the whole matter.

I love the length of your videos and wish they were longer. You give good insights, and you talk to us like we are friends. Thank you

So funny to read these two comments! 😂😂 Just do whatever you feel led. Don't try to satisfy everybody's needs.

That's great you paired down to 4. I know it's not easy to decide which ones to keep.

Sometimes with longer videos I listen at 1.25 speed
@@jo_de7880 I have recently done this with my Bible app. I read fast but the audio kind of slowed me down. I even listened to a few on 1.5

You don’t have to watch the entire thing
Adjust the speed. ;) I'm about to do the same...

Speed it up, this is what I do, some people have pauses or speak slower.
