As someone in my first semester of grad school I STRONGLY STRONGLY STRONGLY recommend reviewing summer before you start…. Memorize these things: -IPA and Phonological Processes -Anatomy of voice + swallowing -Cranial nerves
Definitely review if you feel you need to! Both Haley and I felt it wasn’t as necessary but each person’s experience is different. Thanks for sharing 😊
@@PediatricSpeechPals yes I read online that I wouldn’t need to review but the first day of class professor hit us with a full phonetics quiz I had to remediate due do only getting 15 out of 20 bcz I was rusty
@@PediatricSpeechPals of course every program is different and every professor will teach differently, I’m just saying it seems like best practice to review just in case you get a professor like mine 😂
@@our.secret1130 Oh man! That’s a warm welcome, huh? 😉 and yes, I’d agree to study before if that’s what would make you most comfortable. Glad everything worked out for you!
So glad I found this channel. I just applied to grad school for spring and I am graduating this December for my bachelors. I'm just waiting now to see if I get in. But your videos really help ease my nerves of what I should expect. I have definitely felt super nervous about trying to memorize everything but it is nice to know that it is not as cut throat in grad school and many others are just as nervous at the beginning.
I graduated undergrad in 2008, so there's that.😮 I completed all my leveling classes with good grades, but due to working full-time, i could only take 1-2 courses per semester. Now I'm applying to Grad school & looking at the curriculums, i'm expected to take 4-5 courses per semester. I'm a nervous wreck.😬
