    First mistake? To actually GO to Siargao!! place is WAY overpriced and overrated...check out Surigao del Sur next door for a much better experience...the REAL Philippines...

    • @travelingpetitegirl

      What spots would you recommend for Surigao del Sur and care to explain what makes it the REAL Philippines?

    • @francoiswilliams
      @francoiswilliams 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      First of all u could just check my vids, there is plenty where I show the marvels of Surigao del sur...like Enchanted River, Tinuy An Falls, Cabgan Islets, Cold Springs...great and friendly people, very tasty AND AFFORDABLE SEAFOODS...in other words all the opposite of Siargao...where there is NOTHING TO SEE AND DO and supremely overpriced, with a bad attitude already...NOT friendly at all!!

    Sunblocks and mosquito repellants will kill the Jellyfish, as stated on the video, "it will make their tenticles fall off". But then the video also tells you that you can touch the Jellyfish. Good luck on those Jelly Fish.... imagine how many tourist would feel the need to touch those fragile creatures for an INSTAGRAM post.

    thought you were an "experienced" traveller... I guess now you are? It's common sense really, travelling on water...have some waterproof container. Hence expensive repair or replacement for your cameras (y) Anyway, thanks for a very informative "Not what to do when travelling) ;)

    • @travelingpetitegirl
      @travelingpetitegirl  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure I'd called myself "experienced" since it's relative but my content is for those just beginning to venture into travel. And I get the waterproof container thing. Backstory is that I forgot my waterproof bag and didn't have time to buy another one. And even if I'm experienced or not, I'm still human and make mistakes and try to help others not make the same boo boos I make :)

    Last year, I went to sohoton and they let us swim with the jellyfish in the sanctuary. Hmmmm

    • @travelingpetitegirl
      @travelingpetitegirl  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      i went to sohoton cove a 2nd time and I was able to swim with the jellyfish too! turns out it depends on which jellyfish inhabit the area, which changes season to season. The brown jellyfish are much more fragile than the clear jellyfish, which you're allowed to swim with
