Nice pun. I just like they found a way to make funny jokes that seem verboten, but have us all laughing together. A bit odd though that Jody’s jokes focus on the pedo stuff.
@@robinolds2601 they both wrote jokes they thought would embarrass the other. Telling jokes about pedophelia is pretty uncomfortable I bet. Seems like a good strategy
I don't know what is funnier. Colin squirming in horror, after realizing what he had just read, or Che pretending to be offended as if he didn't write the joke for Colin to read.
This is some of the most hysterically funny comedy I’ve ever seen on television!! Outrageously hilarious stuff right here 😂!! Colin Jost and Michael Che got jokes….really funny jokes at that!
Everyone misses what the cue card actually said. "The Harriet Tubman biopic "Harriet" was released last month, and then luckily captured and returned to its owner" Che had a great joke inside a joke.
I feel like everyone is missing out on what the joke on the cue card was. I highly recommend hitting pause because it's hilarious that Che not only wrote the overall "Colin won't read a cue card held by a black man joke," but he went the extra mile and wrote a prime joke for the card itself that was totally missed in the moment.
You *gotta* admit the Scarlett Johansson playing Sammy Davis Jr joke is masterful, hilarious, and 1,000% fair... and yet also, *somehow, maybe* the furthest Che's ever gone. *Wow.*
@@Chace957 You're fine. No one can know all of pop culture nonsense. I sure don't. Colin Jost is married to Scarlett Johansson. Scarlett played a Japanese person in the live action Ghost in the Shell movie, which was widely condemned as... A Bad Call. Because maybe get a Japanese person for the role. That's... kinda messed up. Thus the joke is her playing a man of a different race, in extremely poor taste, again.

I think they just didn't do it this year because of Cecily leaving... It seemed to hit Colin quite hard, during the Weekend segment he delivered all his jokes completely flat and didn't crack a smile once... In the musical number as well he seemed to be struggling a bit. Being the first to hug her at the end My guess is that they knew they couldn't deliver it to the standard people have come to expect because of the emotion of the evening... I am sure it will be back for the end of this year!

HOLY SHIT ROFLMAO!!! XD I've watched tones of these but this segment had me in stitches all the way, the jokes were brutal and their reactions to each other or even the jokes after and especially before they read them just killed it.

Colin’s facial reactions as he reads the jokes is hilarious 😂
I love how you can see in his eyes the exact moment he reads the punchline in his head before speaking it.
