- Finally able to edit videos yall! And not a video too soon. I had a hell of a time with the tendrils, thank God for fasft forward. Anyway, here is my unboxing, review, close-ups, and comparison of the brand new XM Studios Carnage!

Would love to buy something like this in the future. I'm a student right now so I can only afford cheaper statues. At least I have my comic collection to grow :)

I barely started getting into statues. It recently started with the Diamond Selects premier collection Venom. I just ordered and received my Sideshow PF Carnage. So awesome! Definitely my favorite of the three. I haven't seen, but I do like the XM Carnage, but the Sideshow PF is definitely remincent of the 90's Carnage. Mine was the collectors edition #648 of 2000. No QC issues at all, but one of the tendrils was tough to get it in, but it's all good now. I love it! No regrets on this purchase!
Side note: Sideshow has the new Venom life-size bust that went live today. I hope you get it! It looks so awesome, and I can't wait to see you review it once it becomes available. I enjoy your videos. Subbed.

Awesome video! I think all three are cool. My preference and the one I decided to get is the XM, but the CQ is a close second for me.
I like that it has inter changeables, it gives you something to do with it besides setting it up and leaving it there.

Hey Gem another great catch up and a cool unboxing. Quite like this Xm piece but deffo with you on the Sideshow pf sculpt. This base paint job looks a bit flat and think it could have benefited with a bit more colour going on. However all in all a cool 7 out of 10 from me. Respect.
I just bougth XM Carnage its my second statue after mysterio, I rly like him alot but when I saw him near Venom which I plan to buy next, looks rly small. Tnx for this great video as always Gem. :D

thanks for sharing this. I actually really prefer the xm. It looks really badass imo.. I have the sideshow venom pf and i think next to the xm might look really cool... the sideshow premium format i think looks a bit skinny and too slim.. but man i really wanna get the xm carnage.

I have all 3 and your review is so spot on. still gutted on the disappointment I feel from the XM piece especially the cost of it compared to the new sideshow carnage. The comiquette is poor but I'm a carnage fan so had to have it.

Not sure if it's possible, but could you do a photo or something of this bad boy next to Kotobukiya Fine Art Venom (if you have) and the PF Spider-Man you had behind you in the video (with the explosion at the bottom of the base). Good video fam, especially with comparisons. I have a few XM pieces and I was legit excited for this when they first showed the renders, but the im just not feelin the final product. Looks like the smeared cheap lunchroom ketchup on him. Again great vid bro.

You can see how this heavily influenced the Kotobukiya Venom statue...the tower leaning sideways looks very similar...
Carnage is my favorite comic book villain of all time and this statue is dope as fuck, if I had the cash I would pick this up

Idk why the difficulty in putting the tendrils effects what you think about the statue, in theend your only going to do it one timen that's it. If they look good whocares how difficult they are too out on if you only have to do it one time right? That's what i think. Yo that half n half head is fire! Those weapon arms are Fire too shoot All of the switch outs are actually fire. Great job gem

Yes... I think I'll do one next week. I don't have many pieces coming in soon and have a couple new IKEA shelves coming. Once those are set up, I'll do an update.
IMO the SS is the most comic accurate and the best among the 3. But, I still snagged the XM piece for the sole reason that I don't want to get an SS piece with QC problems. I just have no patience and time to claim for a replacement.
Did you see the Carnage on SCON this week? Carnage has sharp talons and a huge blade.

I feel like the base for each statue is lacking in accompanying Carnage properly. I think a prison escape scene would be dope. Something to enrich the sense of him being a menace to society. Thank you for making these videos!

I love everything XM does. There paint job are always amazing but it was a easy choice for me I had to get the Sideshow Carnage with the Ex over the XM to pair with my XM venom. The XM carnage I just don’t feel it and the base is so big. Btw I do hate the comi carnage lol. Great vid.

I like the pose and the switch outs fairly well the comicet or whatever is too big as far as body build for carnage.
What's the difference between comicette and premium?
Gem, it may not be the Predator(lol), but thats a great looking piece. I like all the switch outs XM offers because if I ever get tired of one look I have the options of completely changing the look of the statue.
XM does kill it with the switch outs.

I think the point of the switch isn't so much to use them all n switch them out all the time or use them all. One reason is to help keep your statue fresh to you over time, maybe your over a certain look n you can always change it up a year or two down the road. But the main reason is, NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO LIKE/WANT THE SAME LOOK FOR THEIR PERSONAL DISPLAY on carnage or any statue for that matter. Switch outs are a good way to give a larger percentage of people exactly what they personally want to display. You might not like what the next person likes, but switch out options means there's a better chance you both get exactly what you both wanted to display. Yes the rest will just sit there but that's what i think the point if it is.

Dude those statues are pretty sick. At first I liked the XM statue the most but then you swayed me to the Sideshow PF. I'm mainly a 1/6 scale collector but damn those statues are wild. I'm trying to eventually get my own channel up and running, I noticed how clear your picture. What kind of webcam or camera are you using for your videos? The picture and lighting, in your videos, rival every other channel I've seen for statues reviews. Just a suggestion, have you thought about doing a video on what gear you use to make your videos? I think that would get a lot of attention as a "How to" guide for people. Keep up the great work man! I'm really digging your channel!
thanks Ryan. It's pretty funny, I just use my iPhone 8 Plus to records my videos. I did get 2 shadow box lights off of Amazon like like $100. The lighting helps a lot. You can tell from my earlier videos.

Disagree. I think the XM takes it by a mile. The shade of red really goes well with the blacks despite it being darker. and aesthetically I think the base of the XM has a logic that enhances the piece as a whole. Ugh. I wish could get it! Great side by side comparison. You mentioned shipping costs is what makes XMs pieces expensive. Do you also have to pay duty fees when importing into the US?
Luckily, we don't have to pay any type of customs fees or duty fees.

Great video and statue comparison. I have one honest question and hopefully you can help me out. I never purchased from xm but would love to buy some of their marvel line statues, but they don’t ship to the US. You said you got it from Singapore and was wondering what website you ordered the carnage statue from?
BloodType-A-nime in the Facebook statue groups you see people from Singapore selling them. You’ll meet guys that will sell for retail + shipping (which is expensive)
the SS PF is the best hands down, it has the best portrait, best pose, best body sculpt, best base, the Comiquette is the worst in all categories, its just to bad that the SS PF had soo many qc issues mine literally had 8 or 9 problems that were all bad enough to where if it only had one of those 9 it would still warrant a replacement or refund, but I actually worked out for the best and im glad mine had so many problems because by the time I decided to finally call SS and get a replacement I had saved up 700 to purchase the SS PF Amazing Spidey EX off eBay and so I shipped my carnage back and got the email from SS that they had shipped my replacement and then a day or two later with the replacement on its way to me the best idea ive ever had popped in my head I have $700 on deck and Carange was worth nearly 500 if I add those together I would have 1200 which is what the Thanos Maquette cost, so I contacted SS and they agreed to contact UPS and have the replacement returned to sender and give me a full refund minus a $15 restocking fee so I was able to pre order and purchase Thanos on Throne and got im in 2 months later with zero qc problems and now I have one of the best statues ever made so in the end it worked out fantastically, but why it still sucks that the Carnage PF has so many qc issues is that I don't really trust buying one off of ebay unless the seller accepts returns
I dunno, the XM reminds me more of comic carnage more than PF. Especially since the release of absolute carnage. The hidden gem bagley variant of issue 1 is really similar to this XM pose and portrait. Even cover a homage to mind bomb. I agree with gem in that carnage has taken on a lot of wild poses and movements in past comics particularly 90s, but as of now I think the hunch pose is legit mostly because of absolute carnage. On camera XM def pops more, and the tendrils are nice and chaotic.
sideshow PF for sure is the best!! Carnage didn't do to much creeping on ruf tops he would just bust out at you, and the PF at least is attacking.
PF is where it's at for me.

Sideshow because the base and Carnage pose and value. If the base was different I might lean towards the xm them weapons are dope. The base looks out of proportion to the Carnage making him look huge compared to a tower on a building like is that suppose to be a window he wouldn't even be able to look through it if he were inside

the multiples switch out parts on the XM are awesome especially the human Head, the Comiquette is just Classic I love the pose and everything about it and finally the PF i just don't like it , the pose for me is weird is jus a Meh! Piece for me

PCS Shao Khan and 1/3 Ryu. Prime 1 Anti-Venom and Venom. Waiting for a custom Venom and Spawn. Also have XM Dark Pheonix and PCS 1/3 Goro on PO. Have SS Wolverine and Magneto on PO too.
Why are all the tendrils In the back?? He should also have them in the front,they should be everywhere besides It would have been cool to see some of them coming off his chest, also off the front of his arms n legs with some reaching from his body to the building. Maybe even like it's starting to reach around the building grabbing on almost infecting the building or even just because the symbiote is securing him on there
For me the SS PF Carnage portrait is what puts it above the XM that portrait is perfect on the PF...XM came with 3 portraits and none even come close to the PF portrait
