Lawd look how this person a go draw me out. I fed up a people under every blasted video bout 'how people survive' in Jamaica. We survive because we adapt. People tend to forget that she can choose to buy locally organic products from local vendors or go to supermarkets where they import toxic, chemical, pesticides, mostly GMO Foods. All like iceberg lettuce; those lettuce are not fit for human consumption but people still buy them. Swaggy could have gone to a farmer and buy local edible lettuce but again is her choice. We would wish she buy more local but again is her choice. Some people go supermarkets and buy meat and fish what done pack over 2 and 3 years than to go to a local fisherman or the abbatoir. Sometime you see frozen shrimp pack since 2021 coming from landbased farms in China and Vietnam and people a run in on them in 2024 from out the supermarkets. Ribs and other cuts that done slaughter out there and imported they run in on them when the local abbatoir would have fresh organic stuff. Let me state again, the Caribbean imports 90% of things. We do not manufacture a lot of products, we have food in abundance if people choose to buy local but a lot a people want the foreign stuff. We have factories in Jamaica, Trinidad and Barbados that trade between CARICOM where their is free trade but people still go and buy the foreign stuff. Which is their choice. So with the importation come warehouse charges in the USA or wherever they coming from, sometimes got to pay middle men to buy the stuff and pack containers, then add Freight, Port Tax, Custom Duties, Value Added Tax (in some islands), transportation fees to the stores and supermakets, pay your staff to unload the container, pay the shelf packers then you got to have your mark up to even break even or make a profit. I hope this explains why stuff in the Caribbean is more expensive that the US, Canada and Europe where you all have direct links from factory to shelf. Where you all have delivery to your houses without additional cost. So stop compare the Caribbean man. Every video about buying in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean, people commenting bout the cost of living and how people survive. We working and make money. We budget for food. We budget for bills. We budget to buy cars. We budget for mortgage or rent. Untop of that we maintain our children. And this coming from a non Jamaican. I live on another island.

Sad to hear your mum will be leaving, she has improved so much. The kids will miss her and vice versa. I used Johnson products on my sons hair up until around age 10 (he is also mixed). He had his first haircut around 3yrs when he started nursery. I used to put a bit of almond oil to moisture and just brush. Errol definitely deserves a best dad cup.

Just use plain virgin olive oil on Mila’s hair. That’s all I ever used and this instruction came from my Jamaican neighbor’s mother who was visiting the USA 🇺🇸 when I gave birth to my daughter. My daughter had hair down get back. We used the same on my granddaughter’s hair and her hair is to her butt.
I think the childrens hair products are fine. Would wait till she gets more length for braids and beads. But you just have to figure out what works best for your daughter 🥰

Just use baby shampoo and brush baby’s hair. Don’t use adult products on her hair. Watch the Schoeller family who are interracial. Her Mum does her hair and learned to plait.
I agree with the other comments. Mila doesn't need those products on her hair. Once she gets some length to her hair just use water and oil on her and brush it. As she gets length and she will, after oiling it, braid or put in 2 - 3 pony tails, then separate in 2 parts and twist and put a clip at the end to keep the twist in place. Don't take her to hair salons to braid her hair. They braid too tight which will cause her to lose her natural hair line and eventually lose her beautiful hair.
Diabetes is something that can be reversed easily if you are on medication or even pre diabetic, but not if you are on insulin…. Just cut all carbs and do the keto diet…. It’s the carbs that cause diabetes too much carbs converts to sugar in the body and the body is overwhelmed with the amount of sugar saturating the blood…. Exercise and plenty of water is a must too….And using a blood sugar monitor to monitor what foods you eat that spikes your sugar level is a must have nowadays ….especially if you are approaching 40….on the keto diet you can eat anything you want apart from carbs eg no rice no flour no yam no casava etc…. Until the body is back to normal then you can introduce the carbs back in in moderation…. Food is about moderation and portion size…. Too many people pile the plate with 3-4 portions of food and then sit down after👀…..and eating late is a no no…. Why cant your mum eat salt fish? You just have to wash/ cook the salt out of the fish so it is edible. That brand of ackee looks suspect, too mushy. Get an extended stay for mother and keep her a little longer with you and the childre., and allow her to recover a bit more.

My mom used only castor oil in my hair as a child growing up and my hair grew rapidly long ropey plaits looking moisturized and healthy. As a grown woman today that’s all my daughter and myself used and wow our hair is a beauty. It would help Mila’s hair to grow by applying a little to her scalp. It would help you too Swaggy because your hair is limp and thin. Trim your hair ends every 3 months to prevent split ends. Always BUCKLE UP!! Too many accidents on the roads in Jamaica.
