They can't access your Facebook photos, if you set your page to private. The sms app won't work, if you don't let your ex access your phone. And if you have a wifi password, random people can't use your wifi.

the first app "around me", I thought about that concept 5 years ago. But as a Facebook service. That Facebook introduces this feature to see which users are close by to your location. Only those users who agree to sharing their location for public connect would be visible. It has its security concerns but it would've been a great way to connect with new, age appropriate people.
I used the Androdumper app for 2 years to use the wifi of my next room neighbor. Saved a good amount of money. I used internet for basically ZERO money. It was back in 2017-2019. But I don't use it now as I have my own wifi setup. Last year I checked whether this app still works or not and it was giving error connection as expected. I think this app does not work anymore.

Why go through the trouble of editing screen shots when it's just as easy to just install the app from the internet???

Bad actors with a brain can make a OSINT tool and make thier own version of "girls around me". That one app just happned to get published and became avilable to the public for a while. You can bet that these tools still exist and still get developed. But they probably don't come with a user friendly interface. Whoever develops them probably use it for targeted tracking insted of "just girls". Using internet comes with resposiblities. So be careful of what you post online.
