Cid’s ice imperil alongside enfeeble seems to limit his use case a bit, but I imagine that will change more over time as we see more and more role compression happen with additional weapons. Him having access to a patk/matk down means he can serve in that damage mitigation role when you need it like you showed, and stop can also be a useful mechanic for some fights down the road. Enfeeble increasing the potency of other debuffs does mean that even if he isn’t imperiling an elemental resistance himself, someone else doing that with their weapon will see an added benefit from cid. Weapons like yuffies wind magic one that imperil both wind and mdef are a perfect example, since cid might be able to slide in and support her by enabling more damage while also mitigating more damage than anyone else can from an enemy susceptible to patk, matk down. Definitely a lot of potential in his kit but fitting him into mixed teams will largely depend on what else he gets and what other role compression weapons we start to see coming out. Considering role compression has been happening more and more as time goes on, I’m sure we are just scratching the surface of how useful he will be. Of course always difficult to justify grabbing a limited banner based on speculation but doing at least one pull so you can get a 3* copy to upgrade to 5* later probably isn’t the worst idea considering the debuff doesn’t improve at higher obs and the base duration is already pretty decent.
Awesome if you can fit it in the party. The headache inducing part about him is that he has real measly selection of debuffs so he takes up a slot for Stop/ Enfeeble alone (unlike Angeal that brings buffs/debuffs so you're not just sacrificing for Veil/Provoke alone). The costume is beast though and likely the only one you'll ever need for him. Considering pulling till outfit as ice just happens to be my strongest element (Yuffie arcanum and OB7 Edged Wings), otherwise probably wouldn't. And everything said he's risky for a low spender as we don't know how he'll pan out, will he get more buffs/debuffs down the line and how many things will be immune to Enfeeble (his tower is already packed with encounters immune to it). Wrote in other comments about my situation, but it has improved: I can get two outfits now 😊 So now it's Tifa vs Aerith vs Cid. Decided that Aerith is a must as if you're looking to get an all-Reprieve team down the line, a Reprieve healer will be the toughest to get, a dps with it will eventually pop up, and reduced it to Tifa vs Cid. Already spoke about it, but my Tifa headache is having to WL a bunch of old weapons on top of everything else. According to Reddit crowd though focusing on Shell Knuckles while letting others come as they may is an okay to approach to building around her outfit.
In my head I still just can't justify pulling on it. The rest of Cid's kit is mid AF And I don't know if Enfeeble alone justifies his slot, considering that I have to go in on a limited banner. Currently just seems like a whale thing to increase your damage for the score battles.
@@lens_hunter yeah it’s one of those situation where you wonder cause enfeeble is tied to a elemental resist how they will handle him in the future or who else will get enfeeble
@jrogaming4706 Cid seems really good in ice fights but that's about it. I really really hate limited banners and they are easily the worst thing about this game.
@@lens_hunter yeah we are being over saturated with limited weapons lately. It sours the light spender and F2P player base cause even 2 months later they have nothing to look forward to
@ well on lower stages probably 2 dps. On the higher ones you may need a healer but never know you may not. we will know in a few days. Just hard to plan without knowing the armory and the boss itself

Basically for the fight where you need a premium debuffer for survival and also boost your team dps too. Stilva Crash is an example.
So the enfeeble increased the damage by about 30%. These weapons are pretty crazy. Tifa's damage increased by over 2x in the past couple weeks. haha
