I’ve had microlocs for 8 months and had them styled once. The style was so tight, I could feel the pull on my edges when I lifted my eyebrows. I took it out after a few hours. My scalp is very tender and I was in such discomfort.
That style was cute, true, but so high tension. I'm glad you trusted your instinct. Too tight is too tight. Rips unnecessary. With small locs esp, stylists need to do less pulling and tugging and crimping 😢I took my last style out after one week. Wish I'd taken it out after 2 days too.
I'm 3 months in with 170 locs and idk why but I'm stressing myself out 😭😭 like idk if they are going to swell more or if this is just it because after every retwist (only done 3 so far) it goes back to looking as small as when I installed them. Like I'm really starting to feel like I'm finna be on this whole long behind journey to end up with super thin looking locs 😭😭. Like I for real played myself lol 🤣🤣because I did them this small because I thought they would swell to either twice the size they were or the size of the base. And I'm seeing neither of which. But it is what it is I'mma just have to love whatever I get. But I love YOUR locs thou definitely my loc crush 😍😍
Hey 👋🏾 no rush sis ! ✋🏾that is how mines was in the beginning. My hair was very thin once I started 💀. You can watch my Loc journey video . Now that I LEAVE MY HAIR ALONE, retwist every 4 months ( because it’s so small it can be more fragile AND THIN OUT AND POP ) so that it grows FREE AND THICK . I DONT STYLE MY HAIR . I wouldn’t recommend styling until after like 1 year in a half . Wait up to like 1 year to start to see the swelling because mines did. And it is also a thing “the longer your locs get the thinner it can get” Due to the weight of the hair etc . I’m thinking about connecting mines in about 2 more years , unless it can stand strong that is . So don’t worry . Locs is a different BALL GAME . A natural game . You will see how your hair transforms. Be patient sis ❤
You're pretty. Also, it's glad to see people's perspective on things because I didn't think about just subtracting 10 after multiplying all of them. My first thought was to multiply 14 by 20 then add 10 but I guess both are plausible. One more thing: will 100 locs look good on a male with a medium sized head?
