If we are just talking about the song itself removed from the game, however, Johnny still wins. And he doesn't JUST win, he destroys the devil in one of the most ear meltingly metal solos to ever grace the earth.

That last part where Lou starts to shred? If you still have some powerups, you can still attack. Which is actually a smart thing to do because you only lose if he makes it all the way to the end of that part, but you can still make him lose if you use, say, a Whammy attack.

Like the extra life, bonus multiplier, whatever was going on with the mohawk. That felt weird to me, and like “evolving” the players it was all just a bit much IMO. Tho the story mode they put together with it all was still sick as fuck. And tossing that single blue into an easy song will be a core memory for awhile.
