There's the Indie Cross, Hotline 024, Sonic.exe, and the Hypno's Lullaby, and then you look sideways from the road of mods molded around music and yeah its monobeat and poor-soundings I still haven't heard a BF vocal better than Tricky though (specifically the old BeatStreets Madness), but Lullaby comes very close with Insomnia
Fun fact, apparently Charlie Daniels *hated* the Guitar Hero version of Devil Went Down To Georgia, because if this song plays out to the end the Devil wins which "violates the entire essence of the song".
I think that may display a little arrogance on his part. In the context of the game, when you beat Lou you actually play the closing section of the song as a victory jog. If we are just talking about the song itself removed from the game, however, Johnny still wins. And he doesn't JUST win, he destroys the devil in one of the most ear meltingly metal solos to ever grace the earth.
I remember struggling to defeat Lou in Guitar Hero 3 back in the day... till I learned the cheap way is by using the Whammy Bar on him when he gets an intense shredding segment early into the solos. If you got to the part where it gets quiet in the Lou Battle, that's an instant lose right there. You sit there and watch Lou play that entire part and destroy you. I also later played it in a convention against someone and we both agreed that this song is harder than TTFAF. YOU ROCK! \m/
TTFAF has breaks between it's intense segments. And a lot of rapid rhythm sections that aren't very hard. This song NEVER STOPS WITH THE CHAOS so yeah, absolutely it's the harder song.
That last part where Lou starts to shred? If you still have some powerups, you can still attack. Which is actually a smart thing to do because you only lose if he makes it all the way to the end of that part, but you can still make him lose if you use, say, a Whammy attack.

As much of a banger as this is, all it's doing for me now is remind me of an _exceedingly_ cringe presentation I did in middle school. I first listened to this song (well, the original) in an episode of Malcolm in the Middle (the one with the traffic jam). I listened to it in full and it's a hell of a banger!

Devils probably from New Jersey
Devil went down to Georgia translates so bloody well to metal. It blew my mind when I first played Guitar Hero 3.
I strongly suggest to you to download as it now has the TDWDTG chart
The Devil wen down to Georgia to play the most wicked guitar solo anyone had ever seen.
And then was outshined not more than a minute later.
@@mas8705 Johnny then proceeded to obliterate the Devil with the most godlike guitar solo ever!

That’s if you’re stupid enough to not be able to bring his Rock Meter to 0 but still had the endurance to get there in the first place :)
To be fair, Lou cheats a LOT, so it’s easy to lose, but winning is super satisfying.
I think that may display a little arrogance on his part.

I like how the Devil went _down_ to Georgia. Implying one of two things.
1) The Devil is a Northerner.
2) Georgia is lower than Hell.
I haven't heard about that Devil going down to Georgia in a while. He went to get his arse kicked again!!! Let's fricken' GOOO!!!

man all the memories of facing off against Lou in Guitar Hero 3 with this song (this version too) as the final boss all came flooding back

guitar hero 3 was awesome, fighting devil in hell while rocking this.
Was anyone else kinda hoping he'd go into a Rush-inspired drum solo over the top of the breakdown?
Yes

Johnny over here doing what even Tenacious D couldn't and soundly trouncing The Devil in a Rock-Off!
The Devil didn't lose a Rock-Off. It was a Fiddle-Fight and this is just a Tribute.
Devil got Johnny to sin by taking the bet, and being full of Pride. He lost that day, but still won in the long run. Or at least that's how I read it.
I still have yet to pass this on GH3 expert
This and TTFAF are the only ones I have left…
One of my favourite songs, I love it

This version almost sounds like a metal rendition
It's the version that was used on Guitar Hero 3 as a battle song for the final boss: Lou(cifer)
