Thank you for sharing your cooking, it gives me so much hope and inspiration, gluten free for my daughter doesn't need to scare me

Thank you for your beautiful compliments and kindness ❤️ I appreciate that you’re following me on this journey and I’m delighted that my GF campervan cooking can show that it’s not actually that scary but in fact, quite simple with simple and affordable ingredients.

Ah man, in sunny weather a kayak from the Faerie Knowe Hotel past Ebb and Flow to the waterfall would have done wonders for your soul. Amazing content!

Not sure what's next on your adventure, but the main branch of The Pottery is in George with amazing wood fired gluten free pizzas, and George is also home to the largest maze in the southern hemisphere. Keep up the amazing content.

I would’ve LOVED that! I will need to do that the second time around. I did hear about it when I was there from a few locals I got chatting to but it was the just the weather that kept me from doing some things but not trekking through the bush, that’s for sure 🤣🤣

@SeeSalGo You're gonna need to come back for a second round in future for sure! Wilderness is a suburb of George, and surrounded by the most amazing towns too, like Oudtshoorn, Mossel Bay and Knysna all an hour away. I'm not sure about the sad business that brought you back to SA, but good luck with it all, and have a blessed journey🙌

Oh! That sounds just fantastic! Thanks for the heads up. I love me some gluten free pizza! 🍕❤️ George is also a very chill, beautiful city. I’ll keep all these tips in mind for my next round.

Thanks for tuning in again! I'm delighted that you could savour the natural sounds - especially using headphones. It's very important that people get to experience what I experienced so your comment makes me rather happy.

One is actually able to see God in Africa. It's like His own palace, decorated in every way and full of natural wonders. We are blessed indeed,

You don't mind being on your own, that's cool. But you seem like a blast, I should have joined you. I booked a trip to Dikhololo, but it's a resort and has a restaurant. Looking forward to a game drive and relaxing at the pool, maybe a nature hike. I think more faffing around lazy DayZ.

    • @SeeSalGo
      @SeeSalGo  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes, I've learnt to be content on my own and I equally enjoy the good company of others. But one is never really alone I think, not really. You would've loved Wilderness. Why don't you book that after Dikhololo and your lazy dayz trip? ;-)

Hi. I can hear that you’re quite stressed out about your move to NZ. Where in NZ are you planning to live? I can’t say when I’ll be back in NZ at this stage but I’ll try and answer any questions you may have.

Tauranga is gorgeous! People, weather & city. A great vibe. As long as you don’t isolate yourself and your family when you arrive. Try and integrate with Kiwis and learn their ways. Nothing worse than SAFAs who go there and want to keep doing things like they did. ‘back in SA’. New country, new ways of doing things.

The ORANGE TINTED BLACK WATER rivers of Western Cape along THE GARDEN ROUTE are for many an enigma ,
Of course the reasons for the coloration has been well documented , but some would argue the publications .
The Word Peat is of extreme consequence in the regard .
The Wilderness is a magnificent area ,
And although i haven't hiked the half collared Kingfisher trail ,
I have traveled the area by vehicle a few times .
    Breathtakingly beautiful .
As far as " The Knysna Lourie " is concerned ,
They have a few sounds that they make ,
Two are quite easy to imitate ,
    But the third isn't .
The Turaco species look similar to each other with one or two exceptions .
They may follow you through the forest if you are their friend and know their calls .
The half collared kingfisher is one of many such variations ,
Found along woodland rivers , and even salt water river sections .
    They are magnificent .
You will also note that Kingfishers have a specific type of flight , specific wing flapping , and body form in flight ,
And over time you can actually begin to know different types of birds by their flight .
Different examples of specific flight body formation , action and wing flapping and flairing ,
    Examples are :
1 . The fork tailed Drongos - Wings flair like chinese fans , extremely agile , and a skilled acrobat
2 . Kingfishers have fast flapping wings , body tucked in streamlined , and they are proppeled like a motorised dart that can change height up and down without other movement over the water , renowned for low flying over the water surface ,
Some hover high above the water and perform a death dive like the Pied Kingfisher ,
The different species and the flight and actions become known over time
3 . Herons fly in slow motion , knecks ticked in looking like boats floating through the air in slow motion
    Etc
Cormorants are also quite plentiful along woodland rivers
The African Darter is another marvel with its long neck and slanting from side to side with a paused astonished look in between its neck movements while perched on a branch normally with wings spread literally hung out to dry , from a high vantage point perched along a woodland river .
The African Darter is extremely agile under water darting around nigh contorting with its ability to twist and turn in an acquatic display that will astonish any observer taking it's size and long neck into account ,
As it pry's the nooks and underwater crannies for prey .
Cormarants spread their wings literally hanging them out to dry , as it is said by scholars that their wings do not contain natural oils to shed water from their plumage .
Other friends , are the Hammerkop , Little Egret , Malachite Kingfisher , Yellow Billed Duck , etc
All sighted in woodlands along rivers ...
Of the most colorful is the Woodland Kingfisher
There are also an array of tiny birds ,
From the types of Batis in the forest
To bronze mannikins that fly in flocks anf that i dubbed reed dancers
The Red Bishop is an exemplar of colour changing plumage during the breeding season ...
Various falcons , hawks , eagles etc are all part of The Garden Route
The call of an Oreole with resound throughout your life once it becomes familiar to you
And all that ... from one of your videos 😂
    JAH BLESS ...
OH , HOW GREAT HE IS 🔥

    Under correction ,
But for some reason i consider that that bird might be a

A bit of a clever dish that you made there
Early morning you were listening to pheasants
    Most likely Guinea Fowl
Guinea Fowl actually sing songs i guess
And Don't forget to try to get a Dragonfly to board your finger of its own free will and accord ,
There is a way , coax it , careful not to injure the Dragonfly 😂
