    Love keeps people together, haters and complainers don't know what that is. Your videos touch a lot of people and they know what love is all about. Just keep cutting, splitting wood and you will see the fruit from your labor. God bless and be safe.

    You are so right if people spent some of their time minding their own business they wouldn't have time to get into others business. I had a firewood business when I was younger and used Stil and husky,pretty close ,one as good as the other.

    Your channel’s one of the best. No frills, just honest everyday life. It’s great. As for the negative comments about cutting in the winter…. I believe your wood permit time limit requirements make that necessary. Besides I prefer to cut in the winter, no mosquitoes, no fly’s.

    This reminds me of growing up here in Appalachia a couple of decades back when we heated the house with a Buck Stove. I spent hours in the woods cutting firewood with Dad. He’s gone now but those were some of best times of my life. We used to have to drive wedges to bust the oak and hickory. We’d cut up one dead standing locust every year for the cold snaps because ‘that stuff burns like coal.’ Man those were the days.
    Thanks for the great content. Stay safe and good health and happiness.

Seriously, wanting to learn, not afraid to make mistakes only makes one better which proves to be a valuable part of your team. You both make a great team. My wife and I are the same. Compliment and appreciate your partner everyone! It's very healthy in a relationship.

    I have to admit that I just LOVE the fact that you appreciate each other so much; it just goes to show that we're all simply 'human' and get any job done with the right attitude. For those that spread the hate, they're simply folks that truly are never happy and are rude and inconsiderate. I laughed hard when Kelsie pulled you out Dave, that shows your heart and the kind of man that you are for even admitting what happened...afterall, you weren't on camera and didn't have to mention it. GREAT video and thanks for keeping life just as it should be, lots of hard work and laughter along the way. Happy New Year!

    Get some anti vibration gloves to wear when running the saw, stihl makes them for $35 or Anazon has knock offs for $23. I say get the good ones first so you know how they should feel and you have something to compare to. Night and day difference as far as fatigue and hand pain.

    • @mountainlifewithdavidkelsie
      @mountainlifewithdavidkelsie  ปีที่แล้ว

      I will have to try them! I am thinking of the 400 stihls just for a light saw because I have bad shoulders and can really feel it after running my big saws all day

    • @Mountaintoptractor
      @Mountaintoptractor ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mountainlifewithdavidkelsie only catch is only use them when running the saw, don't use them for stacking etc. They will get torn up quick doing that, you will see what i mean when looking at them. They are worth their weight in gold, total game changer. I am used to working my hands, and these will definately add hours of use at the end of the day when your grip is failing.

    Get your wood in the summer? That’s kinda dumb
    It’s hot there are bugs tall weeds and the sap hasn’t run down.
    Personally I cut when it’s cold Wood splits much better in cold

  • @mikefoehr235

    What are the advantages of wood cutting in the winter...not so hot...no bugs. Does saw perform better in cold due to being air cooled. Was that tree 🎄 a red cedar...it sure looks like red cedar saw dust. That was a mother big tree.
