+777Eliyahu I think it's a pretty decent album. It's got some really strong songs (like this one) that kick major ass, and some really mediocre ones that I usually just skip. For me, it's one of those kind of albums. Like Cryptic Writings and World Needs A Hero.
In Greek mythology Prometheus defied the gods and his consequence was to be chained to a rock, where the symbol of Zeus (an eagle) would devour his liver. Every time Prometheus's liver was eaten it would grow back the next day so he would suffer endless pain. Technically he was banned to the realms of the Never Dead, which could also be seen as Hell in Christianity.
Justin Young funny because in Christianity, the Fallen Angel Azazel was chained to the abyss until the day of judgement, where he is rumored to become HELL IT'S SELF!
I thought this song was pretty tame. Then that rhythm guitar riff kicked in, then the pounding drums. My god it's awesome, surprising it was in the game of the same name as this song.
Mvillano13 Agree. That game could've been really good. But no. They just went the stupid and easy way. And it ended up sucking. Good thing is... We got this song from it :)
You can tell these riffs were left over from Endgame, and from albums before all the way back to the 80's, pretty much ALMOST every heavy riff on this album was pre Th1rt3en.
And people said Neverdead was a bad game. Yeah nah, come at me, that game kicked ass. Metal Gear Rising even has it to thank for expanding on MGS2's similar style of swordplay.
No one will ever be better than Megadeth. They've been consistently great for many years and this is their NEW material and its very solid. Not very many bands that's been around for 30 years can pull off writing albums this well.
In my opinion, this is the best song Megadeth has written since RIP/Peace Sells. Sudden Death and Wrecker are also very good. I can't believe it, but it seems Dave still has some tricks up his sleeve, even after all these years.
this was the first song that megadeth play in chile 8 september in santiago .... i cried like a girl when the drums starts ... and when mustaine get in stage... the best 2 hours of my life :') (sorry bad english)
@oOowaowah thanks. I already heard the reign in blood cd and it's amazing raining blood and angel of death are outstanding. The others I'll try to listen today. Wow I wish I could see them live, as for Brodercik he's an amazing guitar player.
@Kiltwearer4 You're right. Thanks for the encouragement. Oh, and I bought this album already (got the arrow taken out two days ago then went back to the music store.)
@pentamanNET I agree with you in some parts, but i think this is Megadeth as good as it gets. They took a bunch of old demos and made this album. i personally loved the idea, i never thought Endgame would be followed by this. The album is like an old style Megadeth, i mean, extremely fast tempo songs, mostly thrash and speed metal. also, i had never heard Dave sing like this since Rust in Peace. i think they outdid themselves with this album. in the Endgame thing i do desagree, I love it
This bands amazing! There really aren't that many bands that have made 13 great albums. Some say Risk is a bad Megadeth record I disagree you listen to that record and don't come away thinking thats the BEST "Pop" album you ever listen to your no Metal fan. It beats out a lot of the Pop music you hear today and at the time it was recorded. Plus its nice to have a band that has a large creative field listen to this record and you have so many different styles of songs flowing amazingly together.
@nickname184 Skull Beneath the Skin, Peace Sells, Wake Up Dead, Set The World Afire, Holy Wars, Rust In Peace (Polaris), Symphony of Destruction, A Tout Le Monde, Trust. That's only a short list though.
One of the best thrash bands and my favourite by far,but hell this album is a step forward from Endgame and Dave is still kickin' ass at his 50..... O_O
@pm2595 I guess it depends on the person's tastes. I just got started with both bands since I grew up with Iron Maiden, ACDC & Slayer and what I love about early Metallica is the amount of rage found on their old albums (Master of Puppets especially). Every song on that album had amazing guitar work and was filled with emotion ( running in the gym while listening to Damage Inc. never gets old). Anyways, all of these bands have something which they shine in and all of them are awesome.
Now why couldn't they build on this on the new album. This is Metal, gets the blood pumping. The Guitar sound is Heavy as fuck and solos are fast and have almost a classical quality to them. Like rust in piece when Marty and Dave where trading and doing double solos. Chris Brodrick is perfect for Megadeth, gotta use him to make the heaviest Megadeth disc to date. Like Slayer or Testament do, push the envelopes of thrash metal by having insane double bass drumming, sick guitars and harsh vocals
i hate how music like this only has 100000s of views, but ppl who have their beats made on a computer and lyrics who anyone can sing have multi million views
Whether you've heard it once or a million times, it's still known to you. My father has never heard of Metallica, although I've mentioned them to him for the first time the other day in his 60 years of life. He still hasn't heard a single song by them, but he knows they exist. To not even know about Megadeth's existence means you must have a very limited head space, or you were raised by wolves.
Exactly the way I feel. It's like people feel they are required to bash him on EVERY metal video so others will think they're cool. Definitly not the case.
What's awesome to note is that out of every latest album by the Big 4 the past couple years, Metallica's Lulu, Megadeth's TH1RT3EN, Slayer's World Painted Blood, and Anthrax's Worship Music, Megadeth is selling the best ^.^
@pm2595 crooked cross, reign in blood, south of heaven, bloodlines and angel of death. that should get ya started. i love the south of heaven cd. btw seen megadeth slayer and anthrax a year ago. pretty amazing concert. chris broderick really impressed me..mostly bc he was 7ft away from me.
@celcius119 Gar, Poland, Junior and Dave were also unbelievably good, they were outstanding and I think as a lineup they are underrated. Everyone talks about Menza, Frideman, Junior and Dave (they were awesome no doubt about that) but the first line up should be more mentioned when we talk about megadeth, at least that's my opinion.
One of the most underrated Megadeth songs
this is how you make a catchy, radio friendly metal song, while retaining a semblance of speed and heaviness, and a touch of guitar virtuosity
Ye, its forgotten cuz it was tied to a weird game that sucked ass, songs good tho
↑↑↑↑
One of the most repetitive comment on every less famous songs by any artist on TH-cam.
@@erickmartinez8189 Cuz that's maybe where the underrated songs are?? 👀👀👀. Don't think too hard now, Diez 😘
And one of the most underrated games of Xbox 360
1:00 tooth brushing on steriodes starts
Hahaha oh my god i died
Lmao can't unhear it now
this record is criminally underrated
Best one from the 2000's in my opinion.
777Eliyahu its a masterpiece album, and nobody cares.. if this album was released in 90's it would be a classic metal album of all times
Ilton Marques Tienes toda la puta razón.
+777Eliyahu I think it's a pretty decent album. It's got some really strong songs (like this one) that kick major ass, and some really mediocre ones that I usually just skip. For me, it's one of those kind of albums. Like Cryptic Writings and World Needs A Hero.
I'm afraid that particular distinction goes to 'Endgame', my friend.
This is easily the most underrated metal song of all time.
I agree.
This song is pure badassness

Every time Prometheus's liver was eaten it would grow back the next day so he would suffer endless pain. Thanks for the religion lesson
that's actually pretty metal
who gives a shi religion is for controll nothing more nothing less
What's the weekend without a bit of Megadeth....
Ron D Not a good weekend
ᅚᅚ ᅚᅚ .
Friday night February 1st, 2019🤘
I can't imagine a day. Don't make me think about week.
True 😂
One of the best and catchiest metal choruses of all time
I thought this song was pretty tame. Then that rhythm guitar riff kicked in, then the pounding drums. My god it's awesome, surprising it was in the game of the same name as this song.
Dude, that game had it all to be amazing and ended up sucking so bad
+Sam Russell Probably because it was written for the game?
Mvillano13
Agree. That game could've been really good. But no. They just went the stupid and easy way. And it ended up sucking. Good thing is... We got this song from it :)
Dat Rhythm Hand! \m/
This song BRUTAAAAAL!!!!!! my face and my body is melting!!!
I first heard this song in my English class a few months ago and I got really excited and nearly toppled over my desk.
yeah, Dave and the band may be older, but they`re songs never gets old with time!!! Still Megadeth!
The very beginning of the song reminds me of Looking down the cross
fantastic song.. intro and everything.. especially when the drums kick in!
I just love their new album. This is one of my favorite songs of it. Megadeth is forever.
I know this song was written for another game, but man those lyrics descrive Dark Souls perfectly
You can tell these riffs were left over from Endgame, and from albums before all the way back to the 80's, pretty much ALMOST every heavy riff on this album was pre Th1rt3en.
@@trendmassacre8423 that has nothing to do with the subject matter
i first listen to this song playing NeverDead (ps3 game), but i already knew Megadeth and instantly recognized it, love this song, one of my favorites
Este tema es espectacular me atreveria a decir que es un de los mejores del Thrash en los últimos 15 años.
GRANDE MEGADETH!!!!!!!!!
De cual fumas Bro jjsjajaja
And people said Neverdead was a bad game.
Yeah nah, come at me, that game kicked ass. Metal Gear Rising even has it to thank for expanding on MGS2's similar style of swordplay.
Grande Megadeth, Espero que muy pronto veamos esta canción en Vivo!!!
Megadeth is the best!!!!!!!
That makes them sacrifice... That's driving them insane! Daa daa daa daaa!!...
still remember listening to the snippet of this song on the game neverdead and thinking to myself "This is fucking insane!!"
this album rules! I really like megadeth
This is really good, MEGADETH never disapoints me :)

This track is the main Theme for the videogame NEVERDEAD.
Heavy metal never dead
....... THRASH
THRASH!!!!!!!!
This is Fucking thrash
You sick fucking bitch, is thrash, where the fuck...wha...dude.
Fucking idiot.
(Edit) But you right tho
best song I've ever listened in recent days
In my opinion, this is the best song Megadeth has written since RIP/Peace Sells. Sudden Death and Wrecker are also very good.
I can't believe it, but it seems Dave still has some tricks up his sleeve, even after all these years.
this album should've been released on a Friday the 13th. but instead its 11-1-11
That intro is just.. awesome.
this is what i call a killer-riff...now we need marty back for a killer-solo:)
who played this, when Dave annouced he defeated cancer ?
this was the first song that megadeth play in chile 8 september in santiago .... i cried like a girl when the drums starts ... and when mustaine get in stage... the best 2 hours of my life :') (sorry bad english)
Fucking Amazing song!
That rhythm riff is hard as fuck to play!!
havn't really listened to megadeth but as soon as I heard the double bass kick in, oh man, it's F**KING AWESOME!
This song made me pregnant.
I'm a man.
Pros: This song is excellent in so many ways. Cons: It's criminally underrated and a really shitty game was made based off of it.
You mean the song was based off the game
@@Jabler- was it?
@oOowaowah thanks. I already heard the reign in blood cd and it's amazing raining blood and angel of death are outstanding. The others I'll try to listen today. Wow I wish I could see them live, as for Brodercik he's an amazing guitar player.
my cat heard this. she killed me.
Im posting this from the never dead
best song of thirteen for sure, and best riff megadeth ever had in the last 20 years..
I'm glad Dave is still true to himself. HAIL MEGADETH!
The best song from this album :)
PEOPLE, quit arguing about who's better, it's MEGADETH!!
Escuto ela 25 Vezes por Dia e Não Enjoo . Isso Sim é Música !
love the Rythm Guitar in the background that starts in 3:36 blew my mind..
That delay on FIRE THAT BURNS INSIDE gets me every single time
@Kiltwearer4 You're right. Thanks for the encouragement. Oh, and I bought this album already (got the arrow taken out two days ago then went back to the music store.)
Such a brutal riff, especially when the drums kick in. Sub is trying to break my spine.

The most relevant album for the year 2020.
That intro.Absolute magnificence.
Gotta love the original emo band!
Love this song! This is my favorite song but I would have to say that Nickleback is the best thrash band ever.
you guys need to relax. emo is not about fighting. its about singing about your emotions. just chill guys.

Dude,I'm also a Slayer fanatic, but that doesn't stop me from loving Megadeth.
yea we are brixton cant wait.. saw them at brixton 2008 was great!
Supporterò questa band nel futuro comprando il loro CD!!
megadeth will never loose its flavour :) period !
One of the best thrash bands and my favourite by far,but hell this album is a step forward from Endgame and Dave is still kickin' ass at his 50..... O_O
Can't wait to see them again in June
this is the best intro i've ever heard
I had the opportunity of listening this song here in Argentina , on september 13th ... what can I say ? I cried like a baby
Amazing song
Megadeth just getting better and better! \m/
cant get enough of this new album
awesome as always and this is why i love mustaine.
he's the only man who conquers time and the wrinkles of old age.
well I saw in a Thrash Metal Documentary were Lars stated the fallowing: "I think Peace Cells is one of the best Metal albums of all time".

first, an epic start and then, pure masterpiece!
OH MY FUCKING GOD !! i love it when the intro is over and the UBER massiv Double Bass Kicks in, my whole body is vibrating and i want to mosh !
First time listening to new Megadeth and i'm quite pleased with it, nothing beats the old Megadeth though but I might get this album anyway.
Definitely my favorite track from Th1rt3en

megadeth rules! i like when their songs start peacefully and end up with destruction xD
Saw Megadeth with Motorhead in hamilton and I think it was the best Megadeth show I`v been to..dave just seemed to have more energy then usual
The amount of insane double-bass i the begining is neckbreaking
if only I could like this infinite times...
@Mr7Mtl Wow! I just heard it now and it's awesome. It did remind me of Hangar 18, i'm definitely gonna get this album, thanks!
This song, also with these lyrics, would fit right into a Doom game
I listen this song all the time it's awesome
@Orimabanien Eso significa que estas madurando en cuanto al gusto por el Thrash, en "horabuena" amigo!!!
This and S.O.D are the only Megadeth tunes i like. Not a big megadeth fan but these two songs are sick
