You would enjoy @darrellPassow you are both examples of holy men seeking Gods' knowledge. I am working on my deliverance since my June 2024 Baptism. Easter 2024, im tellin you...❤❤❤
Very well said. There is *power* in prayer. But, if I may add 2 inputs to what you're saying. Something to think about... 1. Principalities: I do not believe that we have any sway over Principalities. God is in total control over this world. And God also has a Will to fulfill. If we had power over the Principalities of this world, then nothing in the book of Revelation would come to pass... And to say so, would be to say either that God is NOT in control, OR he is in control but chooses to put our will before his own... Neither of those make sense. He uses even our enemies to fulfill his Will. I think Matthew 24:6 is proof of this when it says "Such things MUST happen..." So, even when things in this world are bad and only getting worse... it still only ends one way... 2. Confronting Demons (on the small scale): If someone is a Christian, they do have power over demons. However... Although we are the body of Christ, we are not Christ himself. We cannot say to someone "In the name of Christ I command you to leave" and expect things to go accordingly... What WILL happen, is you will just make a mockery of yourself... The best way I can explain this is: If you kicked a hornets nest, what happens? Do they flee from fear and fly away immediately? No, they will swarm and sting. But, notice what happens after all the swarming and stinging... they abandon the nest to go build a nest somewhere else. So, it is just a matter of going about it the right way. Smoke, and protection-suit. The Bible is the weapon and the protection. Demons cannot stand hearing the name Jesus or hearing scripture being preached, so if we do those things, they will eventually go and build their nest elsewhere. I hope what I said made sense.
Hey brother, thanks for watching and commenting. Im not sure I'm following your train of thought. Regarding having any sway over principalities .. saying that if we could have any affect on them makes God not in control, seems to be a very broad stroke. I bring up how as Daniel by prayer & fasting did have a major affect on principalities. Gabriel and Michael came to war as a result of his intercession. God uses people to partner with Him to accomplish His will all throughout scripture. As far as brining up Matt 24:6, that has no real context for what I was talking about. That is very specific series of events that He is saying must take place. No disagreement there but to say that everything that's evil & detrimental "must" take place and that we can't have any part in shifting the narrative is making us useless. And when you say that " If someone is a Christian, they do have power over demons" but then say "Although we are the body of Christ, we are not Christ himself. We cannot say to someone "In the name of Christ I command you to leave" and expect things to go accordingly...What WILL happen, is you will just make a mockery of yourself..." It seems like you are contradicting yourself. You're saying we do have power over demons but we can't tell them to leave? If so I don't know where you get that in scripture? Its all throughout the NT and I have personally have dealt with & cast out many demons. I may be misunderstanding your point but would love to hear some more clarity on what you're communicating. Thanks
