So to everyone interested in this product, lemme give you a review:
I’ve got type 4 virgin hair, never been relaxed and wanted to use a product that would give me results like Briana. Unfortunately, this relaxer did not do that.
My hair, while slightly loosened, is still very, very curly. I left it on for 25 minutes, 5 minutes over the max processing time, and my curls are still popping 🥲 and I don’t have low porosity hair either.
It was definitely more of a Texlax. A corrective relaxer will have to be done in a few weeks. Overall, it wasn’t horrible, and it definitely didn’t damage my hair (more than necessary, I mean). All of the add ins were lovely, products that I already use on my natural hair lol
I will say, I felt like I needed more neutralizer. It was still lathering pink by the time I ran out. Maybe invest in a bottle of it?

    • @swisdom9117

Did you neutralise properly? Did you see any damage afterward since you ran out?

Although it leaves a little to much texture for my liking I think it's great that there's now a specific relaxer for people who like to texlax. I think it will be easier for people to get more consistent results. Great video!!

Oh my gosh you’re inspiring. I’ve been wanting to relax my hair since it makes me happy to have my hair that way but my choice is met with negativity from other black women and I think it’s very disappointing since we as sisters should support one another instead of tearing each other down over our hair or body choices

Thank you for the video. I used this as a present to myself for my Birthday which was yesterday. I have a lot of grey hair and it is very hard to straighten using relaxers. It stretched my hair but did not straighten the new growth. I like it bc it made my hair more managable. My scalp doesn't itch, no scabs or burns. I have to air dry my hair because it cuts off the electricity in one side of the house when I use the hair dryer.
When you blow dried your hair did it make it straighter?

Unfortunately my salonist applied them on my new growth(touch ups) and also on the previously relaxed hair! I told her that's overlapping and she couldn't listen 😭, so does overlapping make the hair not grow? What's gonna happen? Though I trimmed the ends, I also do DCs.
