Amen to #1! I obeyed God in inviting someone to attend a church's 30 year- anniversary. He asked, "Is the wife ("first lady") still doing those long monologues?" Me: 😂 "Yes." Him: "Then I pass." 😂😂😂
The funniest part is that I didn't know that he used to attend that church back in the day...but he went right to one of the two main problems in that church: the vain "first lady" who "leads worship" of herself.
#3 - AMEN! God is not predictable yet "His people's" worship services are? In 8 years of attending "worship services" at "church", the 2 fast songs and 1 slow song formula only got switched up 3 times. It took a lot of fasting and prayer to "move" them to follow the Holy Spirit's lead in how to worship God "more creatively" those 3 times! If it's a routine, then it's not authentic.

Oops. I just realized that I added this comment to the wrong video in my watch later list. This comment was for a video about what worship leaders need to stop doing...but I guess this was relevant here, too, because God used conflict at church to teach me how to maintain my peace and joy via a sense of humor. 😆

And from someone that did a bit of sound tech before, the first thing you always do is turn off the mics on stage that aren't being used to prevent feedback. But the sound tech left the first mic on the entire time even after the first feedback incident... Crazy setup.*
