You have to have the latest version of Logic Pro X... But in the workspace window, right click next to the track and select the "Create Pattern Region" option..
@@BeatMakingBasics Thank you so much. I didn't know they consolidated it to the same spot as the "MIDI Region" part of Logic Pro instead of the add-on selection part.

is there a way to do this without paying for splice ?
Yes just drag and drop other samples you have or use the free loops that come with logic (apple loops)

You might .. I had to upgrade when they came out with 10.5. ... but im using 2021 version with the M1 chip
