One of my friends got leukemia when they were a baby and had if for years. Up until she was 3 she had it. She made a super long string with tons of beads to mark her birthdays, holidays, and times she figured out good news. I am so proud of her even though we don’t hang out that much. My little 8 yr old neighbor has just been diagnosed with leukemia and he will undergo this type of transplant soon but I just wonder how does it affect the donor or if it doesn’t affect him at all? Does anyone know how is Ginny doing nowadays?
Bone marrow transplants are the worst thing to go through, Ik because I had ALL and CML and had to have one at LGI without the NHS and TCT it would be of been horrible :( RIP❤️
I remember having to get one of those scans when I fell out a second-floor window over our driveway when i was 5. I hadn't broken any bones but had a minor concussion (landed on my back). When we went in to see the results, I asked to see the pictures of my brain but they didn't let me see :( lol

I did the same thing as Ginny like 7-8 months ago and I’m fine after it, during it and a few days after it I felt a bit weak tho
If the donor is donating his heart, he dies..if the donor is donating a kidney, he will be fine.
