I had a hairdresser who did something similar to this but with normal scissors, spinning them around to make the ends more fringy (that was in my scene hair phase lol)

I've done something like that with embroidery before (a girl with loose threads that could be braided), but I love the idea of it as a novelty haircut.

Not fur. You were absolutely correct saying hair. Not all dogs have fur, many breeds have hair. Such as; Maltese, bichon, Yorkshire terrier, havanese, shih tzu, afghan, poodle, etc.

The pup one reminds me of my aunts dog Winston! He’s got the most beautiful ear fluff, long curly and flowy. If he were human I think he would look like exactly like wierd al but with pigtails!

I have been "amateur hair cutting " my own hair for 45 years . Sharp and prooer hair cutting scissors make all the difference
I have been cutting my hair for a couple years by parting down the middle and combining it to the front.
I cut it this way to shorten my hair but now I do this to trim it every several months - I watch what I am doing in a mirror and cut it straight across.
When I comb my hair to the back it is nicely rounded style that I have gotten lots of compliments on.
I am growing it long again so it is down to my waist.
As someone who is trans+autistic and has a barber for a father....
The first time I cut it 'short', he honestly thought I got it professionally done. He actually was very impressed at the fact that I cut it myself and he was so proud of me.

The hair was longer on the horse's mane bc his whole head of hair started out that long and he got it trimmed in the front and a horse carved into the back and left the longer pieces

I have been cutting my own hair for the past few years and short bob with steps has been my go to hairstyle
And i like to give a little U/V shape to my hair from the back side, so I always do the ponytail style
And i have also received compliments for my hair, so I guess I'm good 🤷♀️

Ngl, I’ve been trimming my hair like that parted TH-cam tutorial since the pandemic started & mine has NEVER come out as uneven as the one shown here. The method works if you are ok with not having absolutely perfect hair. I’m 41, no one’s looking anyway 😅

I went to one salon were the couple running it was really artsy with it. Worst haircut of my life and they charged me 70$ for it. I never went back and they went out of bussiness a year later

I’ve got three horses and let me tell you one of them I have an amazing bond with .. that guy with the horse haircut. That was pretty amazing though.. that is some serious dedication. I love my Tonka, but I don’t know if I’m willing to shave my head for that one.

Well I use “kitchen” scissors since 5 years or so. Never got a split ends but I had it when I was going to salons. 🤷🏽♀️ at least 200/300 pln are in my pocket every month.but it’s a little bit easier for me cos I have wavy hairs so even if something would not be totally perfectly cut they just mask it with waves

Kitchen scissors suck cause of the shape of the blade and sharpness, or rather lack thereof. Not because you don't know how to cut hair where it sits, or don't understand how hair behaves when you overdirect it, THEN cut it lol. Makes me laugh when I see people blaming their tools for their misunderstandings.
Okay, but I cut my hair with kitchen scissors and all the hairdresser had to do was blend the layers-
