I've tried this piece for a couple of weeks now, and I'm so glad I saw your video. Finding the misprints was validating, but also your interpretation made a lot more sense than most I listened to. It's a gentle piece in my view, not at all dramatic.

My friend, this was a lovely rendition of this awesome piano piece! It was a great insight into the piece and the two voices 😃

Hi Bob, having achieved my grade 8 ABRSM earlier this year and now working on pieces on my repertiore wish list, I would love it if you do some tutorials of some post grade 8 level pieces as it seems most of my wish list is more diploma level - not that I have any intention of doing further exams aged 65!!!

I have been considering this... are there any pieces in particular you would like to request? 🙂 BTW congrats on your grade 8! 🥳

@HeartofthePiano thank you, I found your Poulenc and Clara Schumann tutorials so helpful in the run up to my exam plus your podcasts were an inspiring source of support and innovative approaches 🙏 My first post G8 purchase was B&Hawkes 'Authentic Collection' of supposedly more accessible Rachmaninoff pieces. Prelude op23 10, Etude Tableau op33 8 in G minor, Daisies and Fragments all on my wish list and am currently working on Elegie, so tutorials on any of those, or any other Rach pieces you recommend. I've also fallen in love with Scriabin's Op 11 preludes, all are gorgeous but no 11 in B maj is a particular favourite.

This is more of a criticism to the piece and the score rather than a tutorial. No doubt your insight and suggestions are pretty good. I was actually thinking of doing something more in the direction you mention than just bashing the piece. Makes complete musical sense.
Bottom line, the piece is great and the composer sucks as a musician 😂 composers don’t need to be great musicians
