Since we know there are those who don’t even think we are worthy of life, much less citizenship, we must always do the right thing at all times regardless of what everyone else is doing because people are always watching. Even the hint of scandal can ruin a life. Optics are everything. All leaders must be accountable regardless. No amount of shouting and testimonials will help. If he’s innocent, let the process play out and if he is innocent he’ll be free to resume his life. What bothers me most is that we are given extraordinary opportunities, then squander them and that is truly a shame.
