I actually enjoyed Freddy's Dead even though it was goofy and all but I did like 2 death scenes like Carlos's death and John Doe's death and I like how it showed more Freddy's past like when he's a kid and also as a Teenager etc overall this to me it is a lot better than Nightmare 5 though in my opinion
According to Alice Cooper in Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy (2010), he stated that he gets asked to be in films all the time but they always want him in make-up as his onstage persona. He agreed to be in this film not only because he was a fan of the series, but also if he could play his character as Freddy's father as himself without his usual Alice Cooper look. Peter Jackson's original screenplay for Freddy's Dead saw Freddy aging and growing weak within the dream world. The teens of Springwood would have drug-fuelled slumber parties for kicks, and enter the dream world to beat him up. First film in the series to not include the little girls jumping rope, singing Freddy's rhyme. Instead, the lyrics appear written in several places. New Line Cinema's first film in 3-D. John Doe was supposed to be Jacob from the previous film. It was made vague when they couldn't secure the return of Lisa Wilcox. In earlier versions of the script, Freddy absorbed the entire town of Springwood into the Dream World before moving onto the next town, with the Dream Police chasing after him. Peter Jackson was originally hired to write the screenplay for this film. He wrote a draft, but it wasn't used. As this movie was meant to end the series, this is the first "A Nightmare on Elm Street" film not to end on a cliffhanger. The highest opening weekend for the series, until the release of Freddy vs. Jason (2003). Although this movie is the said to be the final installment of the A Nightmare on Elm Street series, Robert Englund would return as the iconic horror antagonist again for New Nightmare (1994) and played the role one last time in Freddy vs. Jason (2003). When Freddy punches Tracy in the face during their epic fight, Robert Englund really punched Lezlie Deane. The director, Rachel Talalay, got really sick toward the end of the filming schedule. They couldn't delay production to wait for her recovery. According to Shon Greenblatt, "Aron Warner actually directed the last several hours of the filming of the movie," including the final scene between Freddy and John Doe. Breckin Meyer's first theatrical role Alice Cooper, who has an uncredited role as Freddy's father, previously co-wrote and performed the theme song for Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986). Both that film and this film are the sixth films in their respective series. (At around 57 minutes) When Maggie goes to speak with her mother, she enters the house, screams "Mother!" and slams the door behind her. This is exactly the same as when Nancy comes home to see that her mother has placed bars over all the windows of their house in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) John Doe died before his identity could be discovered, so who he was is never revealed. There has been speculation that may have been Alice's son, Jacob Johnson. In the original script of Freddy's Dead, Alice was killed and Jacob became the main protagonist. This seems unlikely as Freddy's Dead takes place ten years after the events of Part 5, which would make Jacob 10, whilst John is ~15-17. This is only a theory, as evidence to John possibly being Jacob is his belief that he can enter Spencer's dream (an ability Jacob would have inherited from his mother, Alice). Two nods to Nintendo: Freddy's line "now I'm playing with power!" is a variation on Nintendo's "Now You're Playing With Power!" ad campaign (which was primarily out of use by 1991, as the NES was fading out of popularity). Also, Freddy's glove controller ("you forgot the Power Glove!") is a heavily modified version of Nintendo's controller of the same name, which was new at the time. During Tracy's (Lezlie Dean) dream sequence, the band Sepultura's name can be seen scrawled underneath the mirror as she leans down to wash her face. The video game system that Freddy Krueger plays is similar to the NES which featured the A Nightmare on Elm Street (1989) video game. Lezlie Deane was in 976-EVIL (1988), which was directed by Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger). Even though she plays a teenager, Lezlie Deane was 26 at the time of filming. Lezlie Deane said in an interview that working with Roseanne and Tom Arnold was a blast and that they were the nicest, down to Earth people. She said she saw them on the phone trying to help an abused girl get out of a horrible situation. This is the first "A Nightmare On Elm Street" film not to have the words "Elm Street" in the title. This trend would continue for the rest of the series (not counting the 2010 remake). Part of the title was inspired by the hit song "Freddie's Dead" by Curtis Mayfield from the film "Super Fly" (1972). When Maggie and John are at the school and looking through newspaper clippings, one is titled "Four Dead in Ohio." This is a reference to the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s song "Ohio." One of three films in the series - the others being A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985) and Freddy vs. Jason (2003) - in which no characters, aside from Freddy himself, reappear in or return from other films in the series. Even though Johnny Depp has a cameo in this film, he does not play Glen from A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) but another character. This is the second movie in the series in which Freddy drives a bus. The first one was A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985). First Nightmare on Elm Street film not to be released on video by Media Home Entertainment. The film was released in 1991 but set in 1999 The only film in the series in which Freddy doesn't kill anyone using his glove (although it gets used to stab Freddy himself non-lethally). Robert Englund said his favorite kill in any of the A Nightmare on Elm Street films is Carlos' death here. Excluding flashbacks, this is the only "Nightmare" movie in which no female characters die. All the victims are male. The producers planned a spin-off film in which Freddy Kreuger's spirit possesses the body of his daughter, Maggie Burroughs (Lisa Zane), and she continue's her father's murderous killing spree. This never came to fruition. The film reveals why Freddy Krueger murdered the children. This movie reveals the source of Freddy's supernatural powers. Has the same body count as A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child (1989) at three victims in each one, the lowest of the series. When John and Maggie check out the Springwood orphanage after learning that Krueger had a child that was removed from his custody and placed there, the woman who runs the orphanage recognizes Maggie. Although they eventually believe that the lady is delusional, this actually foreshadows the revelation that Maggie is in fact Krueger's daughter Katherine.
First time i watched it right before Freddy blows up when he looks at the screen and says "Kids.." i laughed so hard and was like this is so fuckin dumb 😅😣
I stumbled over you guys a couple of days ago. You are now one of my favorite channels. I love your all-over-the-place enthusiasm. "Fuck it. Let's review this fucking film. Who gives a shit how? Fuck it." HAR!!! Awesome. Lavender Jack...Swooping On Down.
WeWatchedAMovie Hell, yeah. Shiiiiiiiiiiiit...I'm happy to be here. Keep doing what you're doing, guys. You're HILARIOUS, and you're good at what you do. Lavender Jack...Swooping On Down.
I've been binge watching the "Nightmare" series reviews from you guys again. I do wanna say "Freddy's Dead" was a live action Looney Tunes episode, the whole thing. Yeah, it's so far removed from the world Wes Craven created, but from that stand point, I think it's one of the best Horror/Comedies ever made. It's so out there. If this had been a stand alone film with the antagonist a different villain, it would've gone down as one the best Horror/Comedies of the early 90's. Although I would've loved seeing Peter Jackson's script brought to life, it would've been far better as far as CANON!
Jayne Sixx This movie is hot garbage you'll be entertained if you accept it's hot garbage. Hard not to love using Looney Tunes style stuff, Freddy breaks the 4th wall, etc.
Thank y'all sooooooo much for all the content....Horror content! u provide. Just found the channel yesterday. I live for Michael Myers, Kruger and Jason! 💯 Much appreciated
I love this movie it's dope how Freddy began as a super serious horror figure and then in the end he becomes a funny comedic killer who have the power to do anything. I like his progression as a character and a killer. This one is one of my favorite. And it's super canon I love how he counted all the ways they try to kill him and how he keeps coming back.
You two get everything wrong... calling Kristen by the name “Kirsten”, calling Springwood, Ohio “Springfield, Illinois”, and saying it’s 1,000 maniacs when it’s 100; but I still somehow love you guys.
Dude I remember seeing that Freddy Krueger vhs collection in stores back in the day even up to the early 2000's they had it in shelves in circuit city during October
I hate this movie. When people criticize the series they are really talking about this movie and forgetting all the good that came before this piece of shit. This movie is everything thing about the series. The makeup for Freddy was horrible.
Robert Beebe It is the Batman and Robin of a nightmare on elm street movie series. It's a hot garbage movie you watch to make fun of and insult also to laugh because it's a unintentional comedy and not scary at all.

I can see mike slowly descending into madness while trying to make sense of this movie. and I always wanted to blow the head off of the mocking, laughing dog in Duck Hunt. that should have been a game itself.
I agree with you guys the first time I watched this I sat there disappointed at what I was watching. They could've made this movie better. I don't know if you guys have seen it yet, but I watched jeepers creepers 3 on syfy and I think you guys should review it. It'll be on syfy again today after trick r treat
This movie is Batman and Robin for the nightmare on elm street movie series. It's a movie you watch because it's funny And not scary, also not terrifying. Also Freddy Krueger changed to a character that breaks the 4th wall. It's a so bad it's good movie which is why it could be on the Hilarocity series.
I had a crush on Bad chick Tracy when I was a kid but loved beautiful Maggie. Also, Yaphet Kotto beating Freddy with a baseball bat and Alice Cooper belt whipping Freddy and tries harder because it didnt faze Freddy was so funny. Freddy is so funny & evil this movie.
Me and my brother and friends "snuck in" to see this because we were all under 18 and when everyone else put on there 3D Glasses 👓 we looked around like ummm lol Fuck This Movie!
Powerglove Freddy,Carlos death, freddy on a broomstick,Roseanne and Johnny deep cameos lol.I always found this movie ridiculous but fun as hell(besides that awful ending)
I personally really like this movie, but at the same time, I recognize that it's absolute garbage juice. It's a big time guilty pleasure, but I really enjoy it for the piece of dinosaur shit it was. Lol
I'm Batman27 This had to be intentionally made as a awful hot garbage movie because the Looney tunes style parachute, Freddy breaks the 4th wall, Freddy flying on a broomstick, etc. A Nightmare on Elm Street did become a comedy horror style and this movie they decided have fun with it making it a not serious a nightmare on elm street movie. It's most illogical that the writer would believe this stuff is a serious a nightmare on elm street movie.
its sad to see this is the last one eh. but mate.wait. what about Wes Cravens New Nightmare? i mean i know its not really a nightmare on elmstreet but it includes freddy and the actors except some actors are... actors?..
Jay, I share your love for Freddy (loved watching you try to rationalize while Mike squirmed). But, this movie was condom with a hole in it...a disaster. Cant wait for your next video you two are amazballz!
At the end of the day, I'm just happy Doc cut off that shit that was on his head in the Running Man. It was like a dry Cheri Curl, Shag. Awful, just. awful.
I agree boys this movie is straight trash considering it's the final nightmare. RIP Freddy's dignity. Fuck I'm coughing again suspiria cough cough COPD is in my near future suspiria cough HACKING UP A LUNG SUSPIRIA;) love the reviews can't wait for Halloween franchise and...... Michael!!!!!!
This movie is hot garbage, and a unscary movie a unintentional comedy including Looneytunes style stuff, ripping off the Wizard of Oz, etc. Also a outright or irrefutable lie because It wasn't the final nightmare and no doubt Hollywood wanted to make Freddy vs Jason before this movie was released. Hollywood needs to stop being nonsensical with false advertising with the final chapter, the last chapter, etc if they know it's not a final sequel in a movie series which no doubt they do. It's Insulting the audience, it's nonsensical by using a intentional nonsensical dumb title which is 1 of the greatest false advertising, and is misusing a word or using a word wrongly, and insulting to the definition of the word they use which is last, final, etc.
one thing bout halloween those movies are enjoyable but the freddys movies if they badd there horrible and jasons movies too but only halloween thats garbage is 8
This movie would have been have good if it was dark. I'm pretty sure even in the never sleep again doc the director agrees. This type of shit is why it's series is a joke. Compared to Halloween and the Friday series who have both gotten silly I'm their own right, it can't hold a candle. It's straight up stupid The only good nightmare movie imo is the original. The second super gay one is just like wtf. Then the dream warrior shit with powers is to much. Sorry J but this shit is a joke. Myers and Jason are a different level. That's why I tattooed them on my body and mtv freddy isn't
The map says "We're fucked!" Great moment.
"you're fucked! " lmao
"I gotta keep an eye on you, you fuckin peice of shit"

Sitting here fresh outta gallbladder removal surgery, watching a new vid from my two favourite dudes on TH-cam. Life is good!
Man Of Steel. Hope you're doing well.
Glad to hear the worst part is over my friend! Glad we could help!
This was a freaking joke from start to finish.

The only good thing about that movie is the gaming reference and Alice Cooper.

When I heard “he looks like a guest star on Blossom” I literally shit my pants, fuckin hilarious.

Nightmare 4-6 = the MTV era.
So true.
1st was cool but 2 is the only one I really like
Nightmare 4-6 = shit.
WWAM is one of the best review channels with all those random remarks that make no damn sense.
They are sex noises.
I love this movie it's dope how Freddy began as a super serious horror figure and then in the end he becomes a funny comedic killer who have the power to do anything. I actually did like part 6 i know it's loony tune-ish in some parts but i like the 90s element to it in my opinion
During Carlos death scene, Freddy breaks the fourth wall.
Dude I remember seeing that Freddy Krueger vhs collection in stores back in the day even up to the early 2000's they had it in shelves in circuit city during October
The good ole' VHS days.
I hate this movie. When people criticize the series they are really talking about this movie and forgetting all the good that came before this piece of shit. This movie is everything thing about the series. The makeup for Freddy was horrible.
I don't like this one at all...Can't wait for New Nightmare and OMG STRANGER THINGS SEASON 2..Love you guys!!
Thanks for the kudos in among the harshness @ around 15:40.
You guys are hilarious.
Cheers!
-- Tobe
You look like the love child of Bobcat Goldthwait and Charlie Day. Love the show.
The father plot of Freddy's Dead is also like Blade Runner 2049.
This is the very first Freddy film I saw and grew up with when I had it on VHS as a kid.
Great review as always you guys are awesome. This Nightmare is by far the worst. Super cheesy acting by everyone.
Thanks dude!
Robert Beebe It is the Batman and Robin of a nightmare on elm street movie series.
It's a hot garbage movie you watch to make fun of and insult also to laugh because it's a unintentional comedy and not scary at all.
Please make a compilation of all of the Dr Loomis pumpkin carving openings, once all of these Halloween videos are complete.
We shall.
Better yet look up the Jarvis Tapes on the Friday 13th game there's a connection to Freddy that they put in the game CHECK IT OUT ASAP
It was an okay film the problem was he was too mainstream by the time it came out. After all he had his own TV show Freddy's new nightmares. This kind of made me think more of it as a Nightmare on Elm Street made for TV movie. The only excuse you could really give Freddie for the Looney Tunes tatic is he's extremely bored he's overly trying to have fun fucking with the kids combined with the opening being that of John Doe initially being a natural Lucid dreamer but half-ass it because of exhaustion.
the movie that got me into alice cooper and iggy pop! thanks freddy 🤘
Freddy did good.
The only things that really should be Canon for the series from this should be the fact that he had a wife and child and the Demonic contract.
Because it more fear to him due to having actual ties to Springwood it also explains the parents rage better. Because he was one of them and they were angry at him and themselves when they torched him for not seeing him as he truly was sooner.
As for the Demonic contract they could have been avatars for the Greek Titan of Chaos Erebus. who happens to be the father of hypnos the god of Dreams.
11:42. Lol
I can see mike slowly descending into madness while trying to make sense of this movie. and I always wanted to blow the head off of the mocking, laughing dog in Duck Hunt. that should have been a game itself.
Everybody did even as a dog lover
This was a good movie.
I agree with you guys the first time I watched this I sat there disappointed at what I was watching. They could've made this movie better. I don't know if you guys have seen it yet, but I watched jeepers creepers 3 on syfy and I think you guys should review it. It'll be on syfy again today after trick r treat
You guys really need to review Tombstone!
It's like a breathe of hott ass & cheetos 😂 I luv ur fucking faces
If I remember correctly ,Freddy's dead , the movie was only in 3-D for 15 to 20 min .I seen it in theatres .
I dyed 😆 when you guys did the “Freddy’s dead” quote Lmao 😂😂😂. This was the worst movie out of all the movies.
Fuck you well un yeah i may have sucked
I agree with all you're points, it is trash, but as a little kid I wore this VHS OUT! Hahaha love this movie and soundtrack
You would think Mr. Robert England would have more say in how Freddy's being utilized?!
I think people would have been excepting of Freddy's Dead if the whole movie was in 3-D ! But , that's just me .
Always feels good to get that WWAM up in me lol
Great review. You guys are awesome. This is a so bad it's good type movie
It was entertaining but definitely not a good Nightmare film.
I love this film except the freddys death, anyway great videos
Corny, goofy movie. not the worst in the series. Great for the laughs as is your show. Keep it up guys
This movie sucked the big one.
I liked this movie, just because it was bad, lol
It's that the movie is 3d and they try to throw things at the camera, and keep the story going, and the movie was rushed a lot too
Jay is right, somebody had to pay which is why this movie exists
I know some of these movies were awful but I love the nightmare franchise
Me and my brother and friends "snuck in" to see this because we were all under 18 and when everyone else put on there 3D Glasses 👓 we looked around like ummm lol Fuck This Movie!
It's...SUPER SPENCER
ugh Super Spencer Suckssss
I remember seeing this in theaters, at the.time it wasn't so.bad
"Welcome to the Oregon Trail you just got Cholera" LOL that's exactly what it reminded me of when I first saw this shit movie!!!
Powerglove Freddy,Carlos death, freddy on a broomstick,Roseanne and Johnny deep cameos lol.I always found this movie ridiculous but fun as hell(besides that awful ending)

Happy soon to be halloween!
Freddy's dead is still better then that hot mess we call "Jason goes to hell"
I personally really like this movie, but at the same time, I recognize that it's absolute garbage juice. It's a big time guilty pleasure, but I really enjoy it for the piece of dinosaur shit it was. Lol
I'm Batman27 This had to be intentionally made as a awful hot garbage movie because the Looney tunes style parachute, Freddy breaks the 4th wall, Freddy flying on a broomstick, etc.

At the end of the day, I'm just happy Doc cut off that shit that was on his head in the Running Man. It was like a dry Cheri Curl, Shag. Awful, just. awful.
Mike were your hemmroids acting up again, you looked so uncomfortable during this vlog, you ok!?
I just hate this movie so much.
I never seen the movie a Freddy Krueger part 6 I never seen that before❤❤❤
I agree boys this movie is straight trash considering it's the final nightmare. RIP Freddy's dignity. Fuck I'm coughing again suspiria cough cough COPD is in my near future suspiria cough HACKING UP A LUNG SUSPIRIA;) love the reviews can't wait for Halloween franchise and...... Michael!!!!!!
R u gonna skip Freddy vs Jason after New Nightmare?
We reviewed that one last week holmes!
WeWatchedAMovie no I Kno that I was just wondering
Hola!
:)
Yo!
MS dose?
I would love to watch a horror film made by you guys it would be sick
This movie is hot garbage, and a unscary movie a unintentional comedy including Looneytunes style stuff, ripping off the Wizard of Oz, etc.
Also a outright or irrefutable lie because It wasn't the final nightmare and no doubt Hollywood wanted to make Freddy vs Jason before this movie was released.
Hollywood needs to stop being nonsensical with false advertising with the final chapter, the last chapter, etc if they know it's not a final sequel in a movie series which no doubt they do.
It's Insulting the audience, it's nonsensical by using a intentional nonsensical dumb title which is 1 of the greatest false advertising, and is misusing a word or using a word wrongly, and insulting to the definition of the word they use which is last, final, etc.
one thing bout halloween those movies are enjoyable but the freddys movies if they badd there horrible and jasons movies too but only halloween thats garbage is 8
I rather watch Freddy’s dead then a nightmare on elm street 5 dream child
Oh, you thought the blonde girl was weird in this movie, you should see her now irl
I liked a few parts in the movie but yeah it was a bad movie.
This movie would have been have good if it was dark. I'm pretty sure even in the never sleep again doc the director agrees. This type of shit is why it's series is a joke. Compared to Halloween and the Friday series who have both gotten silly I'm their own right, it can't hold a candle. It's straight up stupid
The only good nightmare movie imo is the original. The second super gay one is just like wtf. Then the dream warrior shit with powers is to much. Sorry J but this shit is a joke. Myers and Jason are a different level. That's why I tattooed them on my body and mtv freddy isn't
This movie was the worst hot garbage juice in the franchise
1 thru 4 awesome and freddy vs jason and new nitemare dream child and freddys dead suck badd
This movie is complete ass
It's unwatchable... 2 minutes in a wizard of oz parody
