I think this is great news. So what if they scale me down? I can team up with other wizards, max level or not to farm spellements, right? Team play was always part of the magic of the game for me.
A step in the right direction however. Spellements should really just drop from bosses at all times without needing to scale down. That being said now being able to actually farm things is great
I think putting them in instances themselves is too much of a hassle. They should just put one in each world's commons area.
I'd take anything. Using a storm is better than using a balance farming balance 😂
As long as it's free, I'm good with it. Don't even make it cost gold, and DEFINITELY not crowns
How is this mechanic not implemented for so long
Scaling down is in multiple games like doing dungeons in final fantasy 14 it would lower your level so you couldn’t one shot lower dungeons
Just make the Spellements drop to everyone at every level

They aren’t stupid man it’s a marketing scam it’s done on purpose now they can incentivize you to buy their elixirs and spellment packs
I think this is a great update. Though I think they could do better by having specific enemies or bosses dropping a certain group of schools for spellements. I do wish they removed keys because I find it to be needlessly tedious, especially seeing as I'm casual player. I don't mind grinding in games, but there's a point where it becomes a job, and I don't like working for free. Either way, I've been wanting an update like this just for fun.
Didn't they say arc 2 spellements would be farmable at any level? Did they really just mean this?
I mean yeah as opposed to having to make a whole new character. Now it doesnt matter what level you are, it just gets scaled back
I dunno if he actually reads comments but he basically addressed what I was talking about before (and felt alone in thinking) about how punishing it feels to be a max level. That just because I'm maxed I have to have things made either arbitrarily harder or more tedious or the word I used grindy. He even addressed the fact they do it so much later down the line when as I mentioned most have already farmed it.
I never really understood why though? I played the game I did the farming/crafting to get the gear I have. Things should be easier because I worked to get it. I took the time you wanted me to, to get it. And even then you still have to go in and out doing these fights repeatedly. As a side note, you really think people who make new characters are farming that world for spellements before they leave? They likely are running it through. And if they aren't they are likely a max who wants to keep that character in that world.
About the test realm I tested this quit a bit and sent suggestions. The first test realm I was able to do the scaler and leave the dungeon to go farm any boss that drops (EDIT: Also said scaler should be in main area instead to make it easier). I put in though should let us know what spells we can use because I end up going to wiki. ultimately used drop spells because you can at any level. I also pointed out the lack of spiritual bosses in lower worlds compared to elemental. Another thing points out was it felt like 1 pip spellements even in krok were hard to even get in the drops plus you get very few dropped to begin with. Like dragonspyre think give 15? I was lucky I think to get 5 and none of them be 1 pips. (EDIT: I had also suggested adding bosses in wizard city that only drop 1 pip.) I also suggested upping the scaler cap because with the side stuff they added over the years (Wysteris/Grizzlehiem/Crab Alley etc) You can be up to 10 levels above what was originally intended for the worlds. Basically someone who makes a new character would have advantage over someone max using a scaler.
Second test realm I didn't do as much. I noticed the scaler was made 2 hours. I think the scaler was broken though then. I was getting crit when I shouldn't and spellements weren't dropping. Now at first I thought they were just being mean and forcing us to one boss but then I tested it on the boss in question and it still didn't so hope that fixed without them making it so you can't activate scale and go farm a different boss.
i do read comments ;) and i definitely dont think you're alone in thinking that. The first time they rolled out this spellement system (rank 1-6) I felt pretty punished for having an account full of maxes. This is an improvement, but I'm unsure it resolves that general feeling
@@AwesomeTheSauce Yeah because as I pointed out above max are still kinda punished with the level cap because new wizards can surpass the intended levels just by doing side areas. Also wow a reply from Sauce lol

It’s stupid if it’s not school specific. If you already have to do the more arduous task of beating them normally as you would back then during questing, you should get spellements of only your school and not others. Anything else is just diluting your loot drops and pointless.

People are still going to have a high lvl carry the fight but at least now u don't actually have to make an azteca lvl new wizard to be able to get them on your own account so this is definitely a W.
However, I don't really understand why they haven't released a recipe to transmute unwanted spellements into a universal spellement that u can apply to any spell.
For example, 10 firecat spellements can be converted into 1 universal spellement that can contribute to your snowman spell or whatever. Literally every single game on the planet has such a system except for wiz. I have a gazillion spellements that I have no use for so they just collect dust in my inventory for no reason.
Just an FYI with the scales of knowledge, For example if you use the scales of the knowledge in DS you can farm any boss in DS and still get drops you just need to activate the scales of knowledge first, also if you have any side quests you haven’t done one you apply the scales of knowledge you still get the spellment for the quest as well, im currently doing this on my max ice in DS and celestia is working great :)
Or they could just make it so everybody can farm the spellements at every level. Why make it harder? Its still a rinse and repeat of fighting the same boss regardless of your level now it just takes longer but hey at least high level wizards can farm them i guess
This still will be a grind especially for the 6 pip spells
Since the level locking is tied to a potion effect, I'd imagine you could take the level locking outside the dungeon to the other spellement dropping bosses in arc 1 worlds (where you can get elemental or spiritual spellements). If that's how it works, it addresses the issue mentioned in the video but it's still strange to need to go to the final boss dungeon for each world instead of having a scale of knowledge next to each spellement-dropping boss. Overall it's nice to farm for spellements on my preferred wizard now so I'm pretty happy about this change
The scales of knowledge could have (still might work) been a banger solution for when new players are questing in worlds that are all but deserted of players. Not sure about everyone else, but I would have definitely been down to just ride around as lvl 50 in celestia. Helping newer players questing w/o 1 shotting everything (thus making their experience boring and the fights trivial) would have definitely increased player retention. Team-up kiosk and these Scales should totally be combined in someway.
Honestly just get rid of spellements, theres too many damn spells.
Now we need to get more control over what drops and the amount of spellments needed for max

I’m happy we at least got something to farm spellments. But this is honestly like a pity throw. Why can’t we just farm them normally?
not bad actually I can just scale down my main account to get the spellements finally for it and then just use my alt account to hit and one round it.
Im glad it something but i agree about how tedious, because it not guaranteed to get your spell compared doing that level quest cause your almost always guaranteed to get 1st tear doing quests. So it feels very time consuming and almost not worth farming unless im going up in levels getting the spell during quests. it also feels the same way for exclusive spellements that are stuck behind gold keys. I would rather farm lore master to get the spell or craft them back in the day. The game feels more complicated then needed, Esp if it targeted to kids....
4:30 Are you sure that there's only ONE place to farm for spellements in each world? Aren't the locations mentioned in the update notes just the locations where the scales of knowledge KIOSKS are? They could potentially spread out the spellements to different dungeons but only have one dungeon in each world (like the trial of spheres) that would allow you to access the scales of knowledge kiosk.

Is it still possible to still farm balance spellements as a level 72 balance wizard and currently questing in Avalon? Farming methods? I don't have a pet that can unlock pet elemental and/or spirit retriever talents. Please help! I am lost. Also is spellements worth doing now?

If I scaled then still had a high level would I still get rewards?
I can understand scaling down damage and health and what not but also scaling accuracy seems just dumb

I honestly don’t know why they just didn’t scale the bosses to the wizards level it would make a lot more sense instead of leveling down your wizard. Honestly they should have done something similar to what they did with the rematches fight like rattlebones.

So, does anyone know, if the dungeon in a higher world - like Xibalba - drops spellements for various levels up to Azteca, or do we have to grind each world for just one level spell? I hope, I explained this right😬
I think it should be every spell that you can get at that rank and below. so i think the khrysalis boss should drop every arc 2 spellement but the drop table would be much more diluted
Or just remove the restriction period
The new update has dropped and I gotta say it’s the best Spring update we’ve had since 2021.
Not even related to spellements, I hope that at some point we have scales that apply to an entire world. Like if I wanna go into Krokotopia and be level 20 anywhere in the world, I'd like to just be able to activate a scale in the Oasis or something. It's a nice way to get a low level PvE experience without having to make a new wizard.
Not going to be harder, just get another max to farm with you and not use the scale. They won't get them but yo will.
