I know right. Kids these days have no respect for this movie other than making fun of Keaton's Batman neck and such. 😑 In fact, little did they know that this movie was a blockbuster movie back in the day. Batman shirts, Batman mugs and plates, Batman toys, Batman posters, Batman are all over the world showing how much anticipated and good this movie was at the time. I'm glad I was there to witness the greatest Batman movie ever made. To this day, Batman (1989) is always the real Batman and will always be in my heart. ❤️
In my opinion, this is the one true batman , I was 10 years old when I first saw it in the theater, and the whole room went joyful crazy when the batmobile made its first appearance!
This is a movie that marked my life when i was just a kid. I remember that cool summer of 89 when for the first time i saw this great release on my town's theatre. Since then is one of my favorites Batman movies.
Batman was filmed at Pinewood Studios in England from October 1988 to February 1989. The chemical works was the old Acton power station in London, which had been used in Aliens a few years prior.
These guys were so good that even the production photos look like movie stills. I never feel like I'm looking at Keaton and Nicholson. I'm still looking at Batman and The Joker. Hats off to Tim Burton.
Tim Burton really added a darkness to the film. The lighting, cinematography, musical score. That's why this original is such a cherished piece of cinema. The actors, of course, brilliantly displayed.
I hope James Gunn eventually plans for a Michael Keaton batman movie of some sort, his appearance in the flash was the only thing that made it watchable imo.
You know what would've been a highly anticipated movie in 2023? Tim Burton's Batman Beyond, starring: • Michael Keaton as Batman I/Bruce Wayne • Ben Affleck as Batman II/Bruce Wayne • George Clooney as Batman III/Bruce Wayne • Charlie Heaton as Batman Beyond/Terry McGinnis • Chris O'Donnell as Agent 37/Nightwing/Richard Grayson • Ted Danson as Blight/Derek Powers
@@KenMasters.I can top that. Have Keaton do The Dark Knight Returns, with the Christopher Reeve family signing off on their Father's likeness for Superman, and Willem Dafoe as Joker (FINALLY) Tommy Lee Jones as Gordon, Kevin Costner as Green Arrow.
Keaton wasn’t even Arnold’s Batman, yet he still addressed Michael as if he was. Lol got to love it. George got the cold shoulder, of course the only good Clooney films were oh brother where are though, peacemaker, and the ocean trilogy.
Remember my dad bringing this home on VHS and none of us knowing anything about Batman. Blew my childhood mind. Keaton will always be Batman and Nicholson will always be Joker
I remember standing in line outside the theater to see this movie on opening day. I was hoping I’d be far enough back to miss the first show which would put you near the front of the line for the second show. Michael Keaton will always be Batman.
I still have my Movie ticket stub from seeing this in New York City as as kid. 😄🙏 My high school girlfriend and I were the first ones in line at a theatre to see it. Then 2 big guys in batman shirts showed up and waited with us. Once the place was open, there was a huge line. the booth opened and people began to rush in front of me and my girl. The two big guys yelled at the crowd "Hey! these 2 kids were here first!! they have been here all morning with us! get back in line now!!" everyone looked at us and said sorry and ALL got BACK in line behind us and the 2 big guys. We were so thankful they were there. we were just kids but we got in and had a Great time and memories. 😄
I have to agree that this is the best Batman adaptation. Batman Returns was pretty good too, but lacked the excitement and iconic feel of the first in my opinion.
I was born in 83 and this film I grew up with and keatons always been the Batman for me . Jack Nicholson was awsome joker and fuckin mental . Love this 1989 Batman
I will forever love Tim Burtons vision of Batman and Batman Returns. No other director has come close. Tim had such a unique and gothic vision of Gotham City and made the perfect casting choices in his films. While I like Joels vision of Batman and appreciate what Nolan did with The Dark Knight trilogy, Burton will always be top notch. I always love seeing behind the scenes photos of Michael Keaton on set. I always dreamed about meeting Michael and working in the film industry! ❤❤❤❤🔥🔥💙🙏🙏🙏🎥
I was fortunate to see this movie in January here in Tampa ,FL with the Danny Elfman music done by the Tampa symphony here live. Prob the best concert series I've ever seen. When, and being able to watch the movie remastered like that on the big screen again. Phenomenal. Best time ever again. Gave me chills hearing this theme , Michael Keaton will always be my Batman
Best Batman ever (sorry Adam West)! Legendary theme, love Danny Elfman and Prince added such a unique twist to music. All star cast, top notch acting! Tim Burton, Michael Keaton, Legends!
Still my favorite Batman franchise ever to this day. The nostalgia of Michael Keaton days always gets me hyped to watch it. No so much with Christopher Nolan’s. I guess only original thing to come out was health ledger’s joker.
In a world of What If's, what if we could have gotten a third Burton film titled Batman Continues with Robin Williams as The Riddler. Then a crossover with Nic Cage Superman. Whoa
From collecting the batman 66 vhs video tapes with my milk round wages to batman 89 coming out blew me away it went up a notch next level dope. Brilliant. I think Tim Burton could make a great ninja turtles movie.
Dark and moody and an incredible cast and that theme has made The Dark Knight rich and popular ever since. Batman Forever. Michael was incredible a funny man with a serious edge and possibly an actor who deserves the Cowl Of Batman. But he wasn't taken seriously as the story goes but it was a game-changing role for a comedian actor to undertake seriously he was at the time thought to be funny and out of place in this particular character of course it was him who was to change people views as he proved them wrong. Michael was Bruce Wayne aka Batman with humour and a darker edge. Jack Nicholson I think helped Michael as The Joker both are similar actors both have done comedy and even been in roles people think they shouldn't be in but this film was to show that sometimes people get actors who are just right for a role as Michael and Jack were as Iconic than as they are now hugely popular and a fantastic noir film Batman the most important film on decades When Michael returned as Batman in the Flash film it left a few unanswered questions and was a hugely impressive idea the fact this version of Batman is in this film means the stories are still relevant to the DCU and possibly DC characters across their timelines in the multiverse. Plus all Batmen are a take of each other, and so movies are just the tip of the multiverse of Batman's stories.
I remember people saying Michael Keaton”Mr.Mum,Bill Blazeowski, Hunter Stevenson, as Batman!? Watch Pacific Heights. Show you why Tim cast him. Frightening movie.👍🏻
MICHAEL KEATON FOR ME IS THE BEST BATMAN, AND TIM'S BATMAN IS THE CLOSEST THING TO THE ORIGINAL BATMAN, IF HE FIGHTED WITH MORE VIOLENCE LIKE Ben Affleck WOULD BE PERFECT, TIM'S BATMOBIL IS MORE IMPRESSIVE, THE BEST.
Have Keaton do The Dark Knight Returns, with the Christopher Reeve family signing off on their Father's likeness for Superman, and Willem Dafoe as Joker (FINALLY) Tommy Lee Jones as Gordon, Kevin Costner as Green Arrow.
THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! 😳I was LUCKY ENOUGH to do an interview with MICHAEL KEATON'S MOVEMENT DOUBLE CARL NEWMAN, over this past year whom actual wore the 1989 SUIT PERFORMING stunts and is also featured in some of the MOST ICONIC scenes/shots from the 1989 film. He worked closely with TIM BURTON as well as JACK NICHOLSON while on set, and speaks about his experience in GREAT DETAIL. Feel free to check it out! I'd GREATLY APPRECIATE IT🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇
Batman Beyond With Keaton & Michelle Pfeiffer as Selina Kyle as his lover would be great.. Bat & The Cat together.. That would be fun. Tim Burton to direct though..

That and the original Reeve Superman.

Your opinion
Best Batman and DEFINITELY best Batmobile.

Best Batman sure. In terms of comic accuracy, the Batmobile wins yes. But best Batmobile is easily the Tumbler
Yes, the good old days. We still knew exactly who the bad guys were. Today this is often no longer so clear.
It's easy: Biden and his crime family.

The genius of this Batman movie is that Tim Burton shot it in the style of film Noir. The every other batman film missed a trick when it came to this
An absolute classic!
Some of these pics were featured on Topps 2nd edition Batman trading cards, circa '89/90. Brings back great memories.
