My wife and i are completely different people before and after kids. with young kids you just have to constantly pour love into them while trying to keep the balance of letting them be who they want to be while still guiding them. Kids are always ready to receive your love and they don't really understand it until they get older, they just want to go do whatever they want to do
My mom is from Zapopan, she risked taking my older bro & i to visit my family in Zapopan early 2000s cause she didn’t have papers, im 26 & haven’t been back since 2013. Where my abuelitos live, it’s a 30 min walk to Akron Stadium (Chivas Stadium) my jefita recorded many movies from 95-2010+ in the states & in Zapopan, crazy how it has changed!

I lived in Guadalajara for 4 years when attending Medical School at UAG 1971-1975. People were great to deal with, not so much the Mexican Government. The city was much different then compared to now. Have some great memories.

Tortas Ahogadas is a torta on very specific crunchy bread, filled with carnitas and then flooded with delicious tomato based broth. GDL and Los Altos de Jalisco is the area where this is best partly because the bread, like a bolillo, needs the low humidity of that climate to work best.
