Mr. Beast is socialist

In this video essay, I argue that popular TH-camr MrBeast displays tendencies of socialism and wealth redistribution through his viral charity videos. While America has historically favored capitalist values of free market competition and private wealth accumulation, MrBeast uses his fortune not just to enrich himself but to dramatically improve the lives of others in need.
By giving away money, cars, and homes to people facing financial hardship, MrBeast acts as a modern day Robinhood. Rather than hoarding the money he's earned from TH-cam fame, he redistributes it to those who need it most. This reflects socialist principles of sharing resources equitably.
However, unlike a true socialist system, MrBeast alone controls where the wealth goes. He engages in centralized planning and decision making about who receives his charitable gifts. Nonetheless, his acts still depart radically from the individualistic profit motive of capitalism.
While MrBeast is not an outright socialist revolutionary, his charitable giving videos reveal socialist undertones. He recognizes that unconstrained capitalism has left many people behind and he aims to correct that imbalance through voluntary wealth redistribution. His version of socialism relies on the free choices of a wealthy capitalist to be generous rather than state mandated sharing.
