What in the world is the point of removing the whole stock air box to turn around and put the bottom back in just like it was? Just remove the top and save yourself all the hassle of removing the top radiator cover and messing with the intake duct to the stock bottom filter housing. You could do the whole install in about 20 minutes without those steps!
@chrishawthorne28 I went with the K&N Blackhawk had it sent to Oregon then shipped to me in Cali I had contacted corsa and they said non of there's were made for California
I did a cold air intake on my truck but I spent a little more and went with the Banks system. Was about an extra $50.00 but if you do your research you will see why I recommend spending the little bit more.

I was thinking the same thing! No need for full removal.
Thinking the same thing as well. Makes no sense at all. I thought the simplicity of this system was the fact it used the same lower box.
Why take out the bottom of the box ? No need or am I missing something ?
I had installed a cold air intake on my truck and it is throwing a code. Same exact intake and I even followed all the steps. Not sure what is wrong.
Did you ever figure it out I'm having the same issue goes on and off
No I installed the stock one and it removed the check engine light right away. Not sure what is wrong with or what I did wrong.
Does it help miles per gallon
Honestly I feel like it does I have to hit my gas pedal way less to get up to speed
But it makes it sound so much better. You’re probably gonna get worse solely because you wanna here it 3K rpms haha
Is this California smog legal?

Super disappointing video. So many unnecessary steps for this intake. You know, the reason why folks choose this type instead of a full new air box. 😐
