I wish there was more natives at all plant stores. People buy butterfly bush when they should buy native milkweed. You can have all the beauty with native plants and they will come back every year so you save money!
Proven winners are like patented drugs. Once the patterns are up, they have to have another one to sell you at the higher price. I could be wrong, but I believe all proven winners at the store are propagation protected, so there’s not going to be any native plants ever.
Proven Winners is the industry standard for quality plants! I feel so confident I'm getting the best when I pick up a plant and it is from Proven Winners.
This garden season isn't over yet I'm so excited to next year. Proven Winners reputation gives me confidence year after year. Looking forward to the arrival of the catalog in winter. There's something so hopefull about sitting indoors with a goid cup of coffee going through the catalog while there is snow on the ground outdoors.
Please make these new release plants available online. I've ordered dozens of Proven Winners plants from Home Depot this year, they show up very well packaged, look great out of the box, performing fantastic in the gardens and containers. 🙂
I’m glad you are requiring growers to use your branded pots. I’ve been to garden centers looking for your products and it’s rare to find them where I live. The local centers either won’t carry your plants or the only carry one or two plants and of course they are plants I don’t like or they only carry one color and it’s a color I don’t need or that I’m tired of. I have been to centers that used their own plain black grower pots but the proven winner tag was inserted. I refused to buy it because I wasn’t sure if it was a knock-off. I also know that PW plants are pricey and I’m not paying for a knock-off. So I’m resigned to ordering directly from PW which is even more expensive and then it’s 50/50 chance that they will arrive healthy. I have NEVER received PW plants in the mail that arrive the way the ones that the TH-cam content providers receive. Theirs are always so nicely packaged and they never receive damaged/dying plants.
@@cmnr8487 Hi! We are all entitled to our our opinions. I happen to have had pretty good luck with PW plants and Monrovia plants. Not so much with the no name brands. Best of luck to you with your gardening journey!
Elizabeth, thank you for your support, and please use the Find a Retailer tab to possibly find stores near you that carry our annuals. Our goal of the white container was not only to help gardeners find our plants at retail, but to protect the rights of the breeders we represent as well.
Same here where I live .. I been wanting supertunia Bordeaux and can't find it and the stores that have proven winter only has plants im not into etc..
This was wonderful. I am not a retailer, but I only buy your plants from big box to private garden centers. They always grow the way the label says they will and you have enough varied varieties to cover the many sun, part sun, part shade and full shade areas I have. I saw many options in this video and I can't wait to get back out in the yard and plant many of the new varieties. Thank you so much for all you do!
I absolutely love Proven Winners! And so excited about the indoor plants being available. I got a few eco-friendly pots this year which I'm happy you're transitioning from plastic.
Thank you so much, yes, our Eco+Grande container is a step in the right direction for our industry, and we are now working on other sizes for our additional plant lines.
I really like your content. I would prefer if you could talk in a more subdued voice. It would be easier to listen to if there wasn’t an emphasis on ev-er-y syl-la-ble. Thanks

So glad you're selling Garden Gem and Garden Treasure tomatoes! I've grown seeds from UF's research program reach, but this year I plan to buy PW tomato seedlings. Professor Klee's bringing flavor back to tomatoes!
Did I miss your new for next year 2023 hydrangea called Puffer Fish???? I seen Jenny from creek side nursery advertise it? Thats one that I am really wanting! ❤️
I'm in love with the variagated heliopsis. Bit of Honey is gorgeous and I would buy it in a heartbeat, but I first found "Sunstruck" which is a version from Monrovia that is shorter and more compact. I really need that smaller version for my planting space. I know this spring I'm going to own one or the other, but really hope I can find the shorter one in my garden centers.

so sad mny varieties can not be grown in Alberta Canada zones 3 & 4. Even the ones for our zones many of which are not available or barely found in only a few stores
When will we be able to try these plant in Alberta Canada. I was able to get some of PW this year at Walmart and Canadian Tire. That Hydranga and Rose are on my list of wants and loves!!!
Love your plants but my favorite garden center is not carrying your plants this year because you are requiring them to use your containers only, witch cost them 30 cents more per container. Made me sad.
We made this move to help our customers find our plants at retail, and to also protect the rights of the breeders we represent. Change is hard for some, and to help balance the cost increase we have offered many free promotional campaigns for the retailers. We do have a Find a Retailer tab on our website, perhaps that will help you next year. Thanks for watching Dar.
Looking forward to when these become available here in Europe! PS - You have a glaring glitch in one of the last entires - the voice is clipped at 'Sky Rocket', giving the impression that here is a mistake in the name of the variegated grass. I'm unaware of a white-variegated of the tropical Pennisetum setaceum.
I love hardy hibiscus. I planted 10 of them (the planting was labor intensive) and a bunch did not come back after the winter. The ones that did come back are around 10 cm in height. Needless to say I'm so disappointed since I took great care of them.
This year we made our white container mandatory for anyone selling our annual plants. Before this all of our shrubs, perennials, caladiums etc were all sold in the white container, everything but our annuals. It has been an adjustment for some independent garden centers who might have their own containers they prefer to use. Our goal is to help our customers easily find our plants at retail, while we support the breeders whose plants we represent. With a white container mandatory for our annuals it will make it much more difficult for anyone to propagate our plants and sell them that way--which cuts the breeder out of the chain of sale. We offer an unbelievable number of free services to garden centers, so it is not that we are not 'being nice', it is just that change is hard for some. We appreciate your concern.
@@provenwinnersgrowers Seems fair, I would like to know when I am purchasing PW vs other. If it's not in a white container I wouldn't know it's PW. 🤷♀️
As an independent garden center professional for more than 25 years, I can appreciate most of your products and the reasons why you develop shrubs and perennials that are small and compact (for non-gardener/homeowners). However, most fall short (no pun intended) for those of us TRUE gardeners that don't like Lulliputian gardens. I don't want to walk around a garden with a magnifying glass!
@@peggy-ann1961 Lighten up, cupcake. You guys are getting way too mushy up there, eh! The comment was about plant material getting tinier and tinier. If you look for something negative, you'll find it.
I wish you knew how hard it is to find your plants. I found a big disparity in the quality from the growers this year for annuals. Frustrating when you're working in a large space. I have supertunia bubble gum plants that aren't the same color in my beds. I'm hoping jazzberry will be easier to find next next year. I'm a loyal customer but frustrated.
You need to do something about the plastic containers that you sell your plants in. I’m sure millions of them are going into landfills and it needs to stop. Step up to the plate and start caring about the environment

Nice variety of milkweed too…my common milkweed was huge, so as the swamp weed…butterfly weed was pretty but might come up anywhere in my garden
