  • ‘Victor Overcomes his Fear - A Hunter Syndrome Story’, read by Jason Madison.
Best friends Victor and Jackson attend their medical appointments together each week, and enjoy chatting and playing games until the appointments are through. But when Victor finds out that he needs surgery for his ear, he is faced with a difficult dilemma: how will he overcome his fear?
Filled with colorful artwork, warmth, and fun, this storybook addresses the issue of fear around medical procedures with honesty and sensitivity, while instilling important lessons in family, friendship, and trust. While the story may not encompass the experiences of all children with Hunter syndrome, we hope it serves as a means to illustrate some of the experiences they may face, as well as to educate and raise awareness.
Having been diagnosed with Hunter syndrome in early childhood, Jason is now a keen advocate for the community. We couldn’t think of a better person to tell Victor’s story, and we thank him for his time.
