Really doesn't matter who it is, hearing a man talk about the happiness they get from being a father is one of the most wonderful things.

This was brilliant as I haven't seen this show before. I've been a fan of Billys since the early seventies. I've been to two of his shows in Dublin with my daughter and he truly is a unique individual. His view of the world is so funny.

Lovely sentiment, but this isn't Billy's channel. I doubt he will see your comment.

Listening to Billy talking about the folk club days really took me back to my childhood because my late mother ran a folk club in Perth (Scotland) back in the late 1960s and The Humblebums played my mother's folk club and then they stayed with us after the gig. Billy and Tam Harvey (his partner) came up to our's in the morning before the gig and in the afternoon, we went for a drive in Perthshire in the afternoon in my Dad's car (Billy, Tam sitting either side of me in the back seat, my parents in the front). Billy absolutely loves to get out into the countryside, and so we went out for a drive up round by the Queen's View on Loch Tummel and over to Aberfeldy and then on the way back we came down the Sma Glen. The Sma Glen is like a typical Scottish highland glen, but in miniature (hence the name) and as we were coming down the Sma Glen, there was some roadworks and a line of traffic waiting for the STOP to turn to GO. As we were sat there, we suddenly heard the roar of a low-flying F4 Phantom jet which came screaming up the glen. That is when I heard my very first f-word of my life, when a startled Billy stuck his head out the car window and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Crash, ya f***ing b******!" which drew a round of applause from the vehicles in the traffic jam. My Dad, however, turned round in his seat and said, "Excuse me, there are children present!" and Billy looked down at me and whispers in my ear, "Now, don't you speak like that until you're at least my age and you really mean it." and I've never forgotten that day.

As an old welder from Norway, I can confirm there's no welder in the world with whole pair of socks.
In fact, we called it "the pearly dance". First day at job as welder, you get a red 'pearl' of liquid metall down your shoe, you go mental trying to get that 'pearl' out of your shoe. That's the 'pearly dance'.
After a few months, when you get used to the 'pearl' in your shoe, you just shake your foot a little and keep on working..

Interesting that the Born Again _Christians_ were the ones hitting Billy for mocking their delusions, eh?
The Zombie Carpenter's message always seems to be most missed by the jag offs who profess to be the best among us.

He sounds like he's on drugs. An evening or forty-five minutes with Billy Connolly, let's hope the audience didn't have to pay.
