Mike. Unscrew the push button start. It is the knurled protrusion area past the push button There should be a AA battery in it and maybe a plastic safety disk inside used for storage/shipping. Remove the disk and check the battery.
Mike be careful the grill does not melt any of the vinyl doors, siding, or railings.I would pull it out when using the grill with a minimum amount of foot all the way around.
Mike, if you have problems with your back try the leg press instead of the squating. Hits the same muscles without the risk furthering your back issues.

Strengthen your abs, glutes and hamstrings individually to help your squat. There might also be some sort activation issue during your squat. Mine is my glutes because I sit so much for work, so perhaps that will Help you. Analyze your squat from the side and search some TH-cam videos on what you corrective measures you can take! Hope that helps man! Squats done right will always strengthen everything around your lower back!
Agreed. To add to what you said, good form helps get the best activation of your quads and hamstrings. FULL RANGE OF MOTION- Mike, you need to go deeper with your squats. As it is, you’re doing “half-reps”.

There is a AA or AAA battery that goes into the grill igniter. That’s why it won’t light
