Kudos also to the late Faisal Helwani, the " Ghanaian with the wrong skin colour" as he used to refer to himself . He produced this album. He was the greatest Ghanaian cultural ambassador of his time. Faisal, you are sorely missed..
One of my favourite all time collections. I had the cassette for years, lent it to a friend for dubbing and never got it back. Yes! The great Faisal Helwani was very dedicated to his vision of restoring highlife to its original place in Ghanaian folkloric music when the burger highlife started to hit our shores. All the instruments are local materials. Thanks for loading the whole album. I'm sharing it basaaaa.
i bought this album from Faisal Helwani's Bibini Music stand at the special Trade Fair in 2007 during the Ghana@50 celebrations. I also bought the Kanowa album of Abrokyireba Kofi Sammy, among other Cassettes of Kwabena Okai and others
May God bless you abundantly. You have made my time. I have looked for songs that make me feel alive for some years now. U have given them to me my brother.
