2021 BENELLI TRK 502 BS6 Detailed Ride Review | Better than Honda CB500X ?

- Benelli has launched the TRK 502 BS6 in India at Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Compared to the BS4 variant, the TRK 502 BS6 costs Rs 30,100 less. Benelli TRK 502 is offered in 3 variants - Grey, Red and the top variant TRK 502 White which comes at a price tag of Rs. 4.89 Lakh. The Benelli TRK 502 BS6 is powered by a BS6-compliant liquid-cooled 500cc inline twin-cylinder, mated to a 6-speed gearbox that makes 47.5PS and 46Nm. The only electronic aid on the bike is dual-channel ABS. The Benelli TRK 502 rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 120/70-section front and 160/60-section rear tyres. Braking is handled by a dual 320mm disc and a single 260mm disc setup. Suspension duties on the TRK 502 ADV are handled by USD forks and a monoshock with rebound and preload adjustability.

I had visited this showroom with my 3 year old boy to check Imperiale 400 and he ended up liking the 502 so much that he didn't want get off the bike.. I agree with my boy, this bike looks stunning. And though it seems underpowered, I say it's more than enough for our roads.

Does anyone know how this bike weighs 235Kgs? I mean to say which components are the major contributors? Is it the engine? I am failing to understand where the 40-50 extra kilos coming from...that's quite a lot for a 2 wheeler. Fiber tank, hollow pipes etc....still weighs so much!

right side extra switch is for additional light and left side switch is for heated grips if installed.

Hi, I rode this bike. I am 5,7 I did not have any problem in riding the bike, nor did I feel the weight. Within 5 minutes of riding I was able to take the bike over a broken patch and saddle without any issue. Very comfortable and easy bike to ride. Very user friendly.

I own a TRK 2019 edition, the BS6 needed much more upgrades other than cosmetic changes:
1. The switchable ABS switch has been removed in BS6 version which is a must have feature on an Adv tourer.
2. TFT Screen should have been added on BS6
3. The quality of the Alloy wheels are really a thing to be worried about, my front alloy wheel bent and cracked just by a small jerk, thanks to their service network which was attended without any Hassel. (For allow issue their a FB page of TRK owners worldwide, many arr facing issue with alloy quality)
4. No doubt its a value for money product, but need to focus on quality too.

RE is not as good as they make it sound however it has a better service network due to its popularity. Himalayan is a good bike no doubt, but look for other alternatives, you have a good budget. REs are common now.
