It's been a long time since his retirement, but I'm still very sad. it was night time when I saw the rumors about he was retired and everyone was asleep. Suddenly, I started crying because Scott was the creator of the game that saved my childhood.
I have been a fan since early 2015 and i never knew he would retire so quickly. He deserved every support that he recieved. I swear I was on the verge of tears when watching this. I remember first getting into Fnaf in like early 2015, watching Mark playing Fnaf 1 on that dad’s xbox, and being scared so i hid my face beneath a pillow. Also Playing Fnaf and Fnaf RP games on Roblox like TPRR and Animatronic world, and watching other Fnaf MVs, SFMs and Minecraft Fnaf. I can’t believe how time just files like that, i can just remember playing with my friends back in 2nd-3rd grade where one of us would pretend to be an animatronic and chase the others. I wish i could go back to those times, where you didn’t have to worry about anything, just being a kid, liking Fnaf and being scared of it at the same time. Never forget my Big Fnaf Phase/Childhood, can’t wait to tell my kids and grandkids about this amazing franchise in the future. And most importantly, thank you Scott. I was about 12 years old when FNaF 1 released. I was a huge fan of theories, but I was afraid of playing FNaF. Now I'm not and it became one of my favourite games. Pure gameplay, that's cool. Thx, Scott
I remember one day at school. I had such a bad day. I came back with such a sadden mood. What cheered me up? People playing FNAF. Talking about it with my friends. Playing them despite being horror games. I had never in my life ever liked horror games. But fnaf? That game changed my life forever. Everyone who talked about it became some of my close friends. We talked about how the games would look like in the future and even came up with our own designs of the animatronics. We talked hours and hours without end. I can safely say FNAF has such a welcoming and nice community when you get to know people. And just remember. People really are struggling. From the years of before and now... And all it takes to save a life is for one person to be there for someone. And I feel as if that's what they mean by a safe place. The youtubers, the friends made along the way, and the mostly nice people.

A few haunted robots and millions of souls found happiness. I don't know how to put my respect for this man in words, but I promise I'll love the game until the day I pass. I may have gone through many fandoms, but this will forever be my first and most loved one, the one i'll stay loyal to forever. When I was around 9 (2015) a friend explained the game to me and the way the animatronic's looked, nothing else. He said you had to 'shake the animatronics off' and I took that literally, I thought they jumped on you and you had to shake them off and move on. I remember that night imagining myself playing that game with a console, I was wearing checkered socks and a black hoodie, and I remember imagining a red fox jumping on the screen and me not being scared. The hallway floor was checkered, I remember that too. And at that time I've never seen the game nor the graphics, but somehow I got the details right. That really scares me to this day. When I got into the fandom (2017) foxy was my favorite character for a long time. Now, because my birthday is around the corner, I wished for long checkered socks and a black hoodie with freddy on the back just to 'be' in that imagination I had as a kid.
My friend also told me about this game in 2015 when I was 7. He told me only about rabbit that jumps on your face so I imagined this game as a shooter.

The FNAF phase was one of the BIGGEST phases of not just my childhood, but my life so far (ok obviously not from the very birth). I am 17 today, and I have to admit its story and games are so interesting I keep being intrigued into playing the games and knowing more about it as time passes, more specifically, I just keep "coming back" to being interested and still have some partial FNAF phases. #thankyouscott

He wasn´t "cancelled" at all - most times that´s just the excuse of people like him who utterly refuse to aknowledge their part in how Republican views continue to opress those not on their side while pretending to be "upstanding, Christian conservatives". I argee that him getting doxxed and his family being stalked over the issue is utterly indefensible and yes, he might be genuinely benevolent towards "sexually deviating people", but the fact stands that by financially supporting people like Trump (who completly overblows "outside threats" in order to all but erect his own personal cult and opress his "enemies") and McConell (who is utterly bereft of any compassion towards LGBT+ people and would love nothing more than to see them die off), Scott is being an absolute hypocrite in his support - to say nothign of the fact that his farewell sounds more than a little backhanded - So yeah, it is sad that a great mind like him is retiring, but he simply kinda brought *the reasonable bits of* that backlash on himself.

A few haunted robots and millions of souls found happiness. I don't know how to put my respect for this man in words, but I promise I'll love the game until the day I pass. I may have gone through many fandoms, but this will forever be my first and most loved one, the one i'll stay loyal to forever. When I was around 9 (2015) a friend explained the game to me and the way the animatronic's looked, nothing else. He said you had to 'shake the animatronics off' and I took that literally, I thought they jumped on you and you had to shake them off and move on. I remember that night imagining myself playing that game with a console, I was wearing checkered socks and a black hoodie, and I remember imagining a red fox jumping on the screen and me not being scared. The hallway floor was checkered, I remember that too. And at that time I've never seen the game nor the graphics, but somehow I got the details right. That really scares me to this day. When I got into the fandom (2017) foxy was my favorite character for a long time. Now, because my birthday is around the corner, I wished for long checkered socks and a black hoodie with freddy on the back just to 'be' in that imagination I had as a kid.

The FNAF phase was one of the BIGGEST phases of not just my childhood, but my life so far (ok obviously not from the very birth). I am 17 today, and I have to admit its story and games are so interesting I keep being intrigued into playing the games and knowing more about it as time passes, more specifically, I just keep "coming back" to being interested and still have some partial FNAF phases. #thankyouscott

He wasn´t "cancelled" at all - most times that´s just the excuse of people like him who utterly refuse to aknowledge their part in how Republican views continue to opress those not on their side while pretending to be "upstanding, Christian conservatives".
I argee that him getting doxxed and his family being stalked over the issue is utterly indefensible and yes, he might be genuinely benevolent towards "sexually deviating people", but the fact stands that by financially supporting people like Trump (who completly overblows "outside threats" in order to all but erect his own personal cult and opress his "enemies") and McConell (who is utterly bereft of any compassion towards LGBT+ people and would love nothing more than to see them die off), Scott is being an absolute hypocrite in his support - to say nothign of the fact that his farewell sounds more than a little backhanded -
So yeah, it is sad that a great mind like him is retiring, but he simply kinda brought *the reasonable bits of* that backlash on himself.
