I would like to thank all the fans who came out to see us. We had a great time and there was a lot of you! OH BOY WERE WE OVERWHELMED! WE LOVED IT!. This is one of our favorite events. Where else can you drive vintage motor bikes and meet great people who have a passion for vintage things and legally drive these vintage bikes for the event. I would like to also thank the Portland PD. They are great and also do a great job of keeping the intersections safe as we go on our rides. I would also like to thank the vintage motorbike club. Without them this event would not be possible. They really work hard to put this event on which has been going on since 1972. WOW! Lets keep it going we need new members so you grass rats really need to JOIN NOW!. Now There's Your Dinner!! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
I'm from Alabama I wish we had Gatherings like that here with mini bikes and bicycles it will bring people together what I love seeing thank you again taryl fixes all
My 5th-6th grade girlfriend got a brand new XR75 for her birthday in the summer of 1977. She never rode it, but I sure did. I got over her, but I still cry myself to sleep over that bike.
Love the XR75 and Rupp. The Rupp brought back memories of something I aspired to at age 7, but never owned. The distinctive seat was a giveaway. Love what the new owner did to it. Cool show! I thought Donny's grandmom was going to send the popo to recover her stolen trailer.
that "wildman" made my day...i remember back in the day when we were young and care free...and it's nice of you to replace that ole knocker for free...sendin ya'll some of this Alabama heat and sunshine
Mini Bikes I should NOT have sold - SkatKitty, Powell Challenger, Indian Bambino, Fox Campus 67 & 71, Coleman 5.60, Scat Cat, Heald Super Bronc, Heath Kit Boonie Bike, Rokon Trail... and a shit load of basic 60's bikes. Oh well, they were fun to fix and fun to ride... memories... ;-)
Good memory flashback on that Johny Lightening. Christmas morning 1972, woke the parents up with the sound of that slamming plastic flip drive. Those things were awesome, no batteries or transformers, just kid muscle powered, but noisy as hell.
Looks like people are asking 7k for restored models on Cycle Trader. That's more than I would pay. You can buy a new Chinese clone for a reasonable price, but that wouldn't be cool.
Jr. should have a lemonade stand using your cups. The video I like best had you guys Deer hunting. Slippers needs to buy a milk crate and put it on his bike, to carry all his junk. haha
Wow that looked like alot of fun! And what a great turn out. The old Rupp goes like the wind! Soo cool. Slippers’ XR is in really great shape. Had fun watching and wish i could have gone there too! Thanks for the great video! Side note- my wife was home and she watched me hand lift the power head out of our boat (125 force 2 stroke gonna get a rebuild), i was dancing around with it like i had my high school sweetheart in my arms, i set it on the bench and said “now theres your diner!” A cple days later she caught me watching your videos and said, “hey, i thought you made that up!” And i said nope, i stole it. Lol
The Rupp unit with the 2 speed unit was nice ! Cant really say for sure but the big dude at 25:25 in front of the guy on the Rupp looked like he was sporting some road rash on his knees !!
I bought a Honda XL175 new in 1974. Was $824 counting tax. A lot better trail than street. Broke two Kickstarter shaft's off, made of powdered metal. Just rolled it off 😣 Was 6 volt points ignition, wouldn't run without battery. Moisture accumulated under points cover making it hard to start. But hey, It had a tachometer!
Hey Taryl, you guys sure no how to have fun, thanks for all of your videos you have helped a lot of people including myself so keep doing what your doing because it’s much appreciated. And there’s yur dinner 🥘
Dang that Harley z90 and slippers 78 model Honda 75 is definitely worth some money anywhere you would list them for sale and that is guaranteed your dinner LOL

Too bad it rained, but 2 out of three ain’t bad Taryl!
Are Slippers' handlebars out of alignment? The look turned to his right when he's going straight.
The boy at 8:00 has the same look as I did when I saw my first Taryl TH-cam.
