I don't even have this car, but I saw the entire video. Great tutorial, sir. I appreciate the effort and all the details, not just during the disassembling but during the putting together of the pieces. Awesome! Blessings.
This was an excellent video.. After watching this I just think I’ll trade my car in for a newer model. I would have no problem taking the door apart it’s putting it back together part that’s kind of tricky 😂
Very well done diy video on this, I know I would be taking some pictures on lot of these parts before I would remove anything so I know how things go back together again.
That's great. And if you want to share a couple of paragraphs describing your process and a few pictures with our community, we can feature you as a success story. Just send them to support (at) youcanic email.
@@YOUCANIC Yes I will take some pics on this project I got coming up, it's on sister's 2018 Kia soul only having to replace the right front window glass on it that got shattered, I may have to remove the plastic panel to get into the whole bottom of door to remove the shattered glass unless I can have enough access through the speaker hole to vacuum it all up hopefully I won't have to remove the whole door panel🤞
Thanks for the amazing video. This is gonna be my project next weekend. My wife doesn’t have the Soul, but she has the Sportage. I assume it’s gonna be very similar.
4:28 How do you do this when the door wont oprn from inside or out? I have a 2017 sportage and the rear door just decided to stop opening entirely. I dont even use the door that often so its weird it would just stop working. I dont have kids yet

My driver door does not unlock. fob lock/unlock actuation looks and sounds normal (manual lock/unlock flips back and forth with fob) but neither inside or outside handles work. It seems to me something mechanical has broke inside the actuator. Is it possible to replace actuator without opening the door? (Or unlock it with a coat hanger maybe?)
good video but you never say why you are replacing the door lock actuator. possibly because of the door ajar message but yea great video. but what's the purpose
Our purpose is to show you how to replace the door actuator. When we do vehicle tear down and do these videos, some of these parts are fully functional.

This was a big help, thanks!

This video is great! Thank you! I'm a little nervous on removing the window but this gives me confidence I can probably do it.

How did it go? My mother-in-law has a problem where her driver side door won't unlock, but it will lock. Am guessing it's the actuator.

About to attempt this this week… what if none of the doors unlock except the drivers? All others don’t work with buttons or fob.

Is there a big difference between 2011 and 2014 ? Is it necessary to take the window out???
Idk but I’m about to get it done today on a 2013

I will just pay my mechanic lol
If you replace the latch actuator do you have to reprogram the key fob to make work to open and close ?
