HI Bro.. I am using 2010 Diesel swift and i am still enjoying that torque. But as you said, i will say no to new age diesel only because of DPF issues and DEF requirment. People with highway run , i don;t think they will encounter an issues, but people with limited use will face this issue and once you get this issue, it will be a head ache and DPF regen won;t work properly and finally will end up in service centre. So better go with turbo petrols or NA petrol engines.

Bro, in addition to this engine oil will mix with diesel and may cause further problems. Now iam facing this issues with my diesel car which runs mostly on short trips daily. ADBLUE is added in engines of 2000cc and above to solve DPF issues.

I think there's no relationship between mixing of engine oil and diesel with DPF filter. Diesel engine oil ആയിട്ട് mix ആകാൻ (Fuel Dilution)main reason too much cold idling ആണ്..
Maximum 1 minute idle ചെയ്തിട്ട് drive ചെയ്യുക. Fuel dilution problem solve ആക്കാം..
I used to comply your observations, still no use. Check your engine oil warning will appear on the console because of dilution of oil by diesel. Diesel is required with high temperature for burning of soot particles deposited in the dpfilter. If regeneration does not happen due to short trips , this small amount of diesel will mix with engine oil causing pollution of engine oil and warning on console. Too much idling is also another reason as you have said.
