Part 1 My favorite fishing spots in or near Gulf Shores

- Popular fishing places in or around Gulf Shores. I Target certain locations at different times of the year for different species of fish. First location I chose was Fort Morgan Alabama. I spend a lot of time in Fort Morgan because I have access to the bay and the beach within a few miles of each other. Targeting mostly redfish, speckle trout and black drum.

Cownose rays are pretty much harmless unless you step on one. Their barb is really close to their body so they can't swing it around like a normal Stingray. Even with smaller stingrays I just use gloves to grip the tale and slide my other hand underneath them to lift them up and flip them over to remove the hook. I only do this from the beach and not from a kayak.

Thank you! I just give areas to fish. Exact locations change constantly with the weather and seasons. However, I hope it helps someone catch a fish.

I completely understand! Between family and work I only have a few hours each weekend to get out and do some fishing and shoot video. The rest of the time I'm watching other people's fishing videos wishing I was there instead of work👍
I was over in fort morgan the other day trying to find a spot to fish but couldn’t find anything. Was this area past the ferry parking lot? I didn’t go past because it looked like they were charging folks in the little hut
I park at boat ramp and walk around. Access is beside guard shack to bay

Thank you for watching the channel! Pensacola has an awesome Fishery. I don't get over there much but I have a lot of friends that live in the area and they catch everything. A few of the TH-camrs are: Kyle for a while, Yakn with Jack, kayaks and Kennedy, Fish Gum, Phil Hollandsworth. You'll love living in the area.
Maddog Fishing thanks for that I actually follow them on TH-cam now. Have you fished in the Perdido key state park area went over there and it looks like it has potential. Definitely want to try out Fort Morgan sometime
@@wesleyhackney I have not fish that area. Fort Morgan is an awesome place to fish certain times of the year. During the summer time it's hit-and-miss. It definitely holds some monster size bull Reds. Do you have a kayak?
I’ll be in gulf shores this month, I’m hoping to get on some fish. I’ve researched as much as possible so I can catch something lol. This will be my first time fishing the ocean
You're coming down at a good time for Pompano. Early morning at Daybreak or late evening will be productive

I noticed this was posted in April?? I'll be down with my family April 2nd-9th for the first time. We'll have our camper at Island Retreat RV park and I'm bringing my VIBE kayaks.
I'm hoping the fishing is good. I'll ofcoarse target some trout and reds, but hope to get a few sheepshead, flounder if I can find some. My daughter LOVES to eat flounder.
Are the pompano and spanish mackerel turning on in early April?

I will be down in Fort Morgan for Thanksgiving this week and was wondering what would be my best bet on trying to get into some reds?
The reds are still moving through at Fort Morgan and Alabama point east so it shouldn't be a problem

Yeah think we all have done that with the GoPro and lost footage. Hate when it happens. Those rays are fun to catch. Nice red! Water must be warming up for you to start finding flees. Pompano should be on fire soon if we keep getting warmer days! Take care! Hope to see y’all out there soon!

Thanks for great vid. Was wondering how to access the bay side , looks like by the boat launch? Coming down for a couple weeks in March . Been driving around gulf shores on vacation thinking about surf fishing for a few years but this time I’m bringing rods lol.

It doesn't say no parking. I launch my kayak there all the time. However they will write you a ticket for fishing off the bridge
