I used to listen to this Waiata which used to start " Te Reo O te Pipiwharauroa" the first Maori programme on National rdaio played at 5.30pm Sundays in the mid 1970's. This was many years before Maori Radio or Maori TV was even thought about . The Kaumatua spoke real Maori not the fake Maori peope speak today.
Do you have other songs from this particular album? by the Wellington Anglican Maori Club. I listened to it all the time as a kid and can't find it anywhere.

This track used to be played on National Radio every Sunday evening at the beginning of (Tā) Kīngi Īhaka's radio programme.
