  • Phnom Penh is Cambodia’s capital city at the junction of the Mekong and Tonlé Sap rivers.
We start our tour at the Royal Palace and continue our tour on the riverfront promenade. On this Sunday (February 2023) there are many people out for a picnic or stroll along the Mekong. We see several side streets filled with restaurants and bars.
Our tour ends at the Phnom Penh night market.
    Filmed in January 2023
    Camera: Osmo Pocket in 4K60
    Mic: Zoom H1n

Some Cambodian cities transformed significantly over the past years - not always to the better. I was a bit shocked of Sihanoukville which I last saw 8 years ago

The video was recorded with a DJI Osmo Pocket (1). Info like that is always in the video description

@@poptravelorg How is Dji osmo Pocket 2 as compared to dji osmo pocket 1...? I am about to buy dji pcocket 2 for walking tour videos

I very prefer the Pocket 1 Image quality. The Pocket 2 has smoother gimbal movements but the picture quality and colors are not good. There are also problems like keyframe flickers and faster overheating with the Pocket 2. The audio may be better but you'd need an external mic anyways for best quality that viewers prefer. I would wait a few weeks as DJI is overdue to release a follow up Pocket which has long been rumored. I'm certainly waiting for a new model as the Pocket 1 from 2018 is just OK nowadays. The Pocket 2 quality isn't acceptable to me anymore. Check the DJI forums to learn more about the issues

I've been to Cambodia via the Sa Kaeo side. While standing in line for immigration Government officials forced me to pay $5 as a fee. In fact, I didn't have to pay and it was clearly written on the checkpoint. But there are many officials who make money this way. If you think it's safe there, you're wrong. Because even the officials themselves are still cheaters.

I understand that several countries have problems with corruption. On this trip I didn't personally experience bribing. I saw that Cambodia turned way more to China which made Sihanoukville unrecognizable to me having visited some 7-8 years ago when it was a small town... The videos here are unedited so from that view everybody can see how it looks like. Political situation, corruption and security etc. are not part of the video though I report some impressions in the video description - like in my Koh Rong Sanloem walk

It's very dangerous to walk on the streets, it's all messed up, it's a city that shouldn't be visited here.
