I must say It’s really heart warming to see all the wonderful people on here sending prayers and good wishes for someone they probably never even met. It’s absolutely awesome. It’s really gives me hope for a better world. Bless each an everyone of you 🙏🏼
Hey y'all. Please keep my wife Alma in your thoughts and prayers. She has a bowel blockage and 2 fistulas they're telling her she needs surgery ASAP. She's at UAB (University of Alabama Birmingham) looking at surgery today or tomorrow. (We had thought it was food poisoning on Saturday but it's a lot more serious this time.)
@@beckyrumery6928 yes I been sharing it for her. She loves her TH-camr's and friends on here. She wanted me to ask them to please pray for her. She's very nervous about this surgery.
I am definitely praying for your wife, but please let her know that I had that same surgery done and it was not that bad. Of course I was sore for a week or two afterwards, but all in all, it was not that bad. Hopefully that will give her some peace.
Great ideas! Thank you! One thing I have experiences is if you use the candle sticks and make a cake stand they will tip over. You can fix that easily by adding a plate underneath and glue it to it. I have also used the margarita glasses from the dollar tree they are really heavy and will not tip. I will make some of these crafts!
I don't know how many times, during one of your crafts, I have said "what is she thinking putting that thing with that color" or something like that, and by the end I'm like "OMG, I LOVE THAT". Creativity is definitely a blessing and you are blessed. Thanks for sharing your vision with those of us who can't see it. LOL.
Happy Thursday beautiful creative lady! I love the blk candle holders but have to be gentile with them I only found 2 sizes. Love your creativity it’s very inspirational for me to get my stuff going. Thank you for sharing another beautiful decors transformation with your creativity. Have a blessed weekend coming up.
When you used a gift bag to frame for your little stand in the kitchen, it reminded me of when I would use a Christmas card that I absolutely loved and framed that. Very cute ideas Katelyn! 🥰
These are wonderful for your own home, or you could personalize to make as gifts! My decor. for the holiday is a mixture of rustic, red & white candy cane with touches of gold! You inspired me by saying "Cabin Cozy Christmas", that last year, I made a wall plaque, that says just that!! Thanks so much, for all the ideas!
I Love How You Used The Glass Candle Stick Holders For All Sorts of Seasonal Decorating. They Are All Adorable and Festive. I Will Be Crafting These. Thank You For The Inspiration!! New Subscriber Here!!
You have great ideas and they turned out so cute ! Good work ! By the way, to remove those labels that have a rubbery glue, bring out the hair dryer and blast it for a few seconds; the heat softens the glue and the label just peels up and off. Much easier and cleaner.
You made a few good ones there ...love the one it was a tart warmer I think it was white and then you added a vase on top and you put a battery operated candle in it with red and white ribbon a touch of greenery..
Sue Wolfe- I have several of these candle holders and was getting ready to donate them. I love your ideas for the plates. I'm going to try to make the plate st/cookie plates for a family tradition, then let each family have a plate for their cookies to take home! Great ideas, Katelyn. You have such creative talents!!👏👋👍❤️
Katelyn your work is Amazing I’ve been following you for a very long time and I can say your work has always been Amazing, you are so talented and it shows through each Diy!
I always pass up those candle holders, never really sure how to incorporate them, Thanks for the tips Katelyn! I use a terrific primer I have had in my craft stash for years on glass, as well as metal etc. I can then use any type of paint over top, stands up so well, even in our harsh 🇨🇦 winters!
@@destinymoon4635 It is called, 'Extreme Bond Primer' from Sherwin Williams. I buy the quart size and it lasts me for quite some time, as a little goes a long way! I use it on all my crafts that require a primer, but especially on smooth surfaces such a glass, does the trick perfectly. Happy Crafting!! 😊
@@destinymoon4635 Yes I do know what to use on plastic, the primer I suggested to you previously! On plastic, I also use an ultrafine grit sandpaper, think 800 grit and above. I just rough up the item a little, that provides a base for the primer to stick to. Also, be sure the primer is fully dry, meaning follow the drying times, not "Touch" times recommended on the can. (Mine is tucked away at the moment, so not sure what that time amount is) You have probably noticed that touch and dry times generally differ on most types of paint. You want to follow the dry time on the primer (Or any paint/sealer when crafting) to ensure the layer next to the item being primed, is dry. If you paint too quickly over the primer, it will peel off, primer and all! Then be sure to seal the whole lot properly. For my indoor crafts I do use Modge Podge however I generally just grab the same sealer that I use for my outdoor crafts. Where I live in Canada on the prairies, we have very harsh winters. Our current temp is -30°, we are to dip to -38° overnight tonight. Then we have quick hot summers, so our outdoor projects get it from both ends! I prefer Minwax Polyurethane myself, it is water-based so easy clean up, but is non yellowing, I have never had a project yellow over time, and it makes the item waterproof, not just water resistant like Modge Podge does. It is a little more costly than say Modge Podge, plus you would have to go to Home Depot or another hardware store to purchase it, but a little goes a long way. I have a little tin currently that I bought last summer yet, and still have approx 1/2 can left. Also, remember in regard to sandpaper, the higher the number the finer the grit. So an 800 is superfine grit as opposed to a 24 grit for example. I hope this helps Destiny, feel free to reach out again if you have any other questions! Have a Great Day! 😊
Katelyn, I got those tall black candleholders. (They are not very sturdy and some were bent) The new large clear 5” globe ornament fits perfectly upside down after taking the hanger clip off. I am going to make a photo globe with the grandkids. I will fill the bottom with jingle bells,, snow, glitter with a photo in the background. I will also glue some greenery around the base. I can’t wait to make them this weekend. Thank you for all the great ideas! Love you!!!❤
I love all these ideas! The one where you mod podge on the back of the plates is awesome! I wish I would’ve known that trick a while back. You are so talented and so inspiring! Thank you for sharing and hand have a Blessed day ❤️
I love all of these ideas. I think I like your mermaid ornament you made for your daughter. You always impress me! I bet your house is lovely at holiday time! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Try a little peanut butter. Let it set. It should remove some of the gooey sticker that gets left behind. Rinse and wipe clean. I've used it on glass and it works really well.
those lanterns are very cute! i really like that you would be able to lift the center out to turn on and off a tea lite (battery operated) it's easy and convenient. i need to make me some! :)
These are all so cute The stand with the wax warmers is my absolute favorite. I have done a red country Christmas for years. These will look awesome with our other decor and tree. When I make a tray I paint it according to where it is going.
I love the candy dishes. The red is gorgeous. I have Crimson by Waverly. I have looked everywhere for the bottle caps. Love them. You are so stinking talented. I love how clean your crafts and area is. Your crafts always look high end.
I loved all the diys! My DTs hasn't carried the candlesticks for awhile, but have some in my stash. I will be making these for Christmas 🎄. Love your channel 🤗
I'm blown away by your super simple bow on the vintage hurricane candle holders!!! I fully admit I'm not only riding the struggle bus with bows...I'm also the driver! Thank you so so much for showing how to make a simple but super cute bow! ❤
I tend to stick with clear, silver, or white for almost everything now. That way you can shop your house and reuse the same holders and containers for every single holiday and the colors all go. Rather than worrying about matching colors and re-buying color coordinated containers or dishes. It’s just easier that way for me.
I love all the different idea Ì see, they are full of great ideas & very inexpensive, too .I live th items the store items &the prices can't be beat! Kee9 on posting these awesome ideas, I love them all them all!thank-you very much.

The modpodging the fabric on the plates would work well with a lot of the napkins they come out with too!

Try initially spraying the candle stick holders with a clear matte spray to help keep them from chipping, it will help paint hold.
