Music video by Hippo Campus performing Flood | Live From Vevo Studios.
this nathan stocker guy never misses with his tone huh
Are you gonna make tutorials for this album???
DECARLO YAY
This is the best song on the album like I heard it and then immediately listened to it 20 times in a row and still got emotional every time. I feel like it’s 2017 again and I’m sitting in my room watching all of their TH-cam performances :,),,,
this was me!
Omg me too!
Beautiful
my dad's are home
this, I got time, and corduroy are my fav new songs this year. Congrats on another great album boys
love the harmonica on corduroy. so good
Brand new my favorite
Flood is an absolute masterpiece! The maturity in their songwriting really shines through, blending introspective lyrics with captivating melodies. Each track feels like a journey, showcasing their growth as artists. It's refreshing to see such depth and artistry in their work. Can't stop listening
Hippocampus music is elevated live.
im going to eat this video
It has honestly been an honor and privilege growing up with you guys
These fine lads stay locked-in! and are on their professional grind, dropping fire albums that always hit different!
I can tell this was recorded a month or 2 ago. Jakes hair is still buzed
Love seeing jake get more solos/leads on this album. His playing is so underrated
Love that you guys on VEVO Studios!
This is a great song from a great album
haven't had an spiritual experience like this since I've left church at age 12
This song is dope.
WHAT A SOUND!
They are back!!
god do i love this band. so happy to see decarlo 😭
연주에 푹 빠져있을 때의 모습이 정말 좋아...
WE ARE SO BACK
They don’t miss
love the camera work in this video!
aye
Wait, so is DeCarlo part of the band or not?!?!? He isn't even on the recent spotify pics and bio, then his trumpet has been missing in recent times. But he's here, so is he still part of the band or just a pal?
For me he is really important for the band identity.
Some songs are great because of his trumpets.
@RebecanTyler that's what I'm saying. It was one of the best instruments on the Bambi album
DeCarlo is my hero on bambi
He’s definitely an integral part of the live shows and probably does occasional recording sessions but the OG 4 have always been the ones “writing” the songs and making creative decisions from what I’ve seen over the years
i think he’s part of the band, like the band that plays live and they invite him to some recording sessions
Great job, guys!
Your music has really helped me these past 5 years as I’ve dealt with a lot of scary health problems. Thank you for sharing your art 🫶
How come DeCarlo is missing in some of the pics?
Love from Australia!!!

Well it is about time. Loved the song!
Wow. This is GOOD.
💛💛💛💛
Im sorry I love this band and this isnt bad music by any means but this is still easily their worst album. Such a disappointment.
I love this band, but flood was a let down
While the instrumental isn't really their best, and seems to be another derivative off of the Wasteland style, I feel like lyrically these are some of the best songs they've produced, or at least they're probably the deepest into Jake's mental state we've seen.
Since there was still a pretty big style jump between Flood and Wasteland I suspect this sort of sound will keep getting developed.
I believe Nathan's influence is playing in pretty strongly to the band's sound overall and I'd like to call Flood a step in the right direction.
@@ballisticfox9033 yep agreed it since they make it clear they wouldn't change its way from writing literal poems to suddenly get throwing it into a "not their best stagion" as we know them by songs they use to fit and develope. It's just new stuff and melodies and harmony but it ain't still the blowing scruple sense while it just looks like does not profit as good as it should have been coming up. That's what i think of it...
@@pedrodambrosio8695 I read their GQ article on this album and how they scrapped 100 songs, and how they wanted to write something that reflected them getting older and almost 30. I was drawn into this band back in 13' because I felt like they were pushing the alt/indie sound to a new level and was always excited on a release. I even enjoyed their country venture. I feel like from what I read they over thought the whole thing and really tried to write "mature" music or a sound they could define as "older and wiser". With that being said I am indeed let down by the overall sound of the album but I know bands change and grow and sometimes that's they way it is. I just wish that they would understand that instead of overthinking about who they are and what they sound like that they just write the music that makes them feel accomplished whether that's "mature" sounding or not. Either way. Ill probably not have this on very much. I do like "tooth fairy" and "madman" though. I feel like they didn't lose their "sound" in my eyes in those tracks. Just unfortunate.
@@__Theodore tottaly sir.. i got you point and i support it though. Maybe the essence of their construction is getting lost for a desperate shot to show how grown up they are emotionally and lyrically saying. As you said, i also see no reason for them to aim it rn, like wtf.. you were doing such great stuff and all different if compared to the "traditional" alt/indie sounding like. If you're up to, i got you an alternative way you could give it a try... they're called wild nothing, great guys holding their essence ever since the band has started. Cheers
Jake in his Rivers Cuomo era
Lmao can't be unseen now
