    I'm so super excited, my husband and I are going to be going on Valiant Lady over the holidays, and we're sailing in one of the Cheeky Corner Suites (which have an even more insane balcony than the Sweet Aft Suites). Appreciate y'all's insight to your experiences on board, all this info is really helpful.

      Oh my gosh, that sounds like a perfect way to spend the holidays! The cheeky corner suites look incredible! We can’t wait to go back on Virgin in June. Have an absolutely amazing time!!

      If you’re on for the western Caribbean itinerary, I’ll see you there!

      @@BrodeyDoverosx Alas not...we're doing the San Juan/Puerta Plata itinerary. Hope you have a great trip though, Western Caribbean is great too!

    we just did this suite on resilient... and will not be doing anything less going forward lol. that balcony is EVERYTHING. the only thing missing on yours is the couch that we had right next to the hammock.

      Oooh, a couch sounds amazing! We are going to give an XL balcony a chance with our next VV cruise, but I bet after that we’ll be right back in the sweet aft suite because you’re absolutely right.

    You had me (Sarah) at the Moët Chandon hour! Wow! We have really been thinking hard about a Virgin Voyages sailing after hearing so many good things from others about it. Your balcony looked absolutely insane, and your room (minus the weird storage) had some cool touches. Love the record player and bar area. We are so curious to hear your food review coming up! Brandon literally said watching this video that he now wants to take a Virgin cruise, so as long as the food options are good, I think we may have to try to get one booked! 😊 Can't wait to see more of your cruise highlights!

      You’ll see in the other videos, but we cannot recommend it enough - particularly for anyone with dietary restrictions. The menus are amazing as-is, and, generally, the staff is VERY informed.
      Also…it is much closer to a Disney experience then you might ever imagine. The service is smart and attentive, and the Adults Only factor isn’t risqué as much as it is just cheeky.

      @@nickfromfivehungrytraveler2955 Awesome! You both looked like you were having a fantastic time. That is fantastic to know that the menus were great and the staff was knowledgeable. Sounds like an adults only Disney level cruise line with service and options. And, love the cheekiness and overall vibe! I'm 100% looking for some local Florida sailings on Virgin now... 😍

      Totally agree with everything Nick said. I’m making 2 really full videos- one about all the entertainment and on board experiences and another about the food before we launch into the ports. It should be fun!

    Hi, guys, we do not think that Royal Caribbean suite level will be especially helpful for travelers with dietary restrictions. Their ships do have GF and dairy-free options in most dining venues, and some will have off-menu dishes that accommodate. Happy travels...

      Thanks for letting us know! Yeah, we aren’t banking on it. I guess Costal Kitchen is unlikely to be dramatically different for special diets than the regular options. Thank you so much for watching!

      Agreed. We regularly sail in RC's suite class, and while the conceirge is really good about taking care of things like making sure there's space for events, or organizing special requests for room service, stuff like that, I don't know how effective they'd be with food restrictions.
      I will say that RC's main dining room team is generally pretty good with making sure that any dietary restrictions/allergies are accommodated. We were on Voyager of the Seas in September, and one of our crew has a mushroom allergy....each night at the MDR, our waiter had a list of items which were going to be safe for him to eat, and if he wanted to discuss with one of the culinary staff, they were happy to send out one of the chefs to discuss with him. You just need to ring the customer service crew about 45-90 days ahead of your cruise to let them know about the restrictions/allergies, and then check in with the maitre'd on embarkation day.

      @@kilrathi827 Thanks for sharing your experience! Yeah, we’ve had really good luck with RCCL for one allergen but when we had two (gluten and dairy) the main dining room made lots of mistakes and served us things they shouldn’t have. Hopefully we can chalk that up to being an early-ish sailing after the 2020 shutdown and they were still getting their sea legs. I’m hopeful for a good experience in February, suite or no suite.

    For reference, that Moët Chandon hour was 5pm-6pm every day!

    For dietary considerations and accommodations, you always MUST preorder the day before in all eating venues on a cruise. For anyone cruising that has allergies all you have to do is tell the venue the night before and the chef will accommodate you. This is extremely easy and takes just a few minutes. In the buffet, this is not the case and you need to use your best judgement as you do on land. We inform the venue that we do not consume highly processed vegetable oils such as canola oil in any stage of the food prep and they prepare our selections perfectly 100% of the time. Virgin has been the best at this so far after 35+ cruises.

      We agree, Virgin is fantastic with special diets. We’ve had great luck with them both with preorders and on days when we didn’t order in advance. Their menus are so well designed for all kinds of diets and their staff is simply stellar.

    Ive got a Rockstar Suite for November and all of my bookings become available to book last week of September. Why did you guys not have this made available to you?

    • @nickfromfivehungrytraveler2955
      @nickfromfivehungrytraveler2955 ปีที่แล้ว

      The app opens up ahead of time for bookings of restaurants (dinner specifically), Shore Things (excursions) and a handful of spa treatments. The other ones we needed to book as soon as we boarded and were on the ship's WiFi. Things like sit-down brunches (The Wake and Razzle Dazzle), The Spa's Thermal Suite, Fitness Classes (the bungee one for example only had six slots), certain "ticketed" shows that fill up, paid activities on board (like the coffee tasting) and a bunch of other things - A LOT actually. It makes the early boarding really important as Rock Stars (of course, your Agent can work wonders). Great question!

    • @FiveHungryTravelers
      @FiveHungryTravelers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, what Nick said! I should have clarified which items were pre-booked and which ones we had to wait until we were onboard for. Thanks for asking so we could share that!
