Good Heaven's, I need to see this band!! WOW!!...I experienced Steve Hackett with his own phenomenal band in London, Ontario in 2015, and was blown away...but this outfit is extraordinary. Another perfect fit for Mr. Hackett. It seems that ever since the 1971 Genesis classic "Nursery Cryme", Steve could do no wrong. Brilliant performances from all the musicians involved here. Absolute superb. These are really wonderful talented musicians, what a joy to hear them playing. This bass player is simply unbelievable - what an artist. But also the other players are absolutely superb. This current setup of Djabe is the best I known. Would love to see you live. Thank you a thousand times.

Excellent !! Love the fact that Steve Hackett is still a very "live" artist, and has done so many interesting collaborations, throughout his career. His work with Djabe is really great and all the musicians from the band deserve as many praises as he does. Top notch level here.

So, I'm thinking, if Mr. Hackett did so well surrounded by creative musicians in Genesis why doesn't he become part of another band? It's just amazing how he makes his presence felt when playing with the right crowd.

People grow older and realize their creativity doesn't fit into a single band concept. Or maybe they are tired of discussions. Or a bit complicated. See Jeff Beck or Ritchie Blackmore... Mr. Hackett was part of GTR and of Squackett and maybe more. None of these relationships lasted long. He was the first one to leave Genesis deliberately.
